Alright, I did some more work. I need to redo the topgrass though, not happy with it.
Also, do I have to add the palette I've used for every single block? That would take ages to put in :/
Be your own judge- do what's fun for you. Just don't go overboard. :wink.gif:
Thanks, I just didn't want to be breaking any rules, since the wooden door isn't in the OP, but that's probably the only texture I'll delve into extra materials with. :smile.gif:
@Feathers, your pack looks like the 16x equivalent of your enchanted pack! When you finish it, I actually think you should offer it as an alternative download in that thread. Might make some people happy. Also, your leaves are goddamn perfect. :tongue.gif:
Ok, everything for my new computer is sorted, updated and installed (and max settings Crysis tested too :biggrin.gif:)
So basically, I'm ready to continue my pack again! I'll work on it today and post screenies of what I manage to finish by the end or I'll just post pictures as I make the textures. Keeps the thread bumped that way too!
Oh and by the way, all the textures are looking gorgeous. I hope at least most of these packs will see completion at some stage if not in time for the competition end!

You know the texture pack making I mentioned earlier?
I found that the way I was making it matched the rules of this contest, (I think) so I decided to post some stuff here. I don't intend for this to be an entry, as I doubt I'll finish it by the end of this week, but still.
A screenshot in-game, but it's pretty big sicne I didn't bother scaling it down. :I
EDIT: I realize the bricks don't exactly keep the rule, along with tree trunks (Unless it was mentioned in the exceptions that the mortar was one, with the tree trunk middle) but I'm more using "five shades per color" than "five colors per block except this."
Hmm, yours are all so good! Time for a restart to try and make my first RPG -ish pack! Yes it does make sense
*edit: And thats how he found out he sucked at RPG style.
I try to do the wood...
Anybody have some tips because it's quite horrible !
Well MokaStock, I made a quick video for you to try to help.
It isn't the best but it might at least set you on your way. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=uaUE8E7O18M
If you need further guidance, I would advise asking one of the more experienced people.
@Alanay - Thanks! I'm contemplating whether or not to make realistic type ores or RPG ores. Leaning towards RPG, may end up changing my stone to match it. (I don't like my current stone much.)
Additionally, Does anyone have the template for the textures? I want to see what they look like in-game, but I can't access the default textures on a mac. (At least, I don't think so)
Edit: Last update for tonight- I took Alanay's advice and redid the ores, and stone, and I think that they look much nicer now. I also redid the glowstone. I kinda want to redo the cobblestone too.
Alright.
I decided to restart in 16x because I wasn't happy with my 32x stone and I felt I wasn't moving quick enough due to the large size.
It's been 30 minutes and I've got half of the immediate scenery done.
Dirt, grass, grass-top and the wild grass are done.
I've done enough blocks for it to become possible to create an amazing upside down house:
That is iron. That means you can do whatever you want with my pack as long as you say it was by me
Also, do I have to add the palette I've used for every single block? That would take ages to put in :/
Is it to late to enter/lose?

Haha! That's probably the best picture on the thread so far!
That's what I thought, too!
