I was hoping to see this back, as I remembered it a couple days ago.
But I have to ask, why no screenshots?
...not even outdated ones? D:
meh, whatever, I could get some pics myself for you if you like, unless you want something specific
Imma quickly try it out then edit for initial thoughts on, in particular, new[er] blocks :3
thank you! i had a ton of screenshots posted (huge amount), but they were all release v0.01 - outdated severely! but have no fear... i'll upload some more soon. i really did try to get some awesome shots at the beginning... trying to update them to show everything started getting exhausted because i did a custom border for every image!
but i'll get to it soon, asap i hope
i've been out of the minecraft-loop for waaaay too long - ever since minecon, actually. so it's taking me awhile to get back into the groove of things. it seems minecraft has updated so many new things i'm not even aware of, and "rainy•sunday" isn't even 100% finished yet! with all these mobs, and newer mobs, i'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.
i appreciate your comments and do hope you enjoy it! rainy•sunday was and is pretty exciting to start up!
oops! i caught a mistake... just now realized that the texture that was added on 1.2 was for the spawner "eggs"? they're out of place and don't fit very well... i'll fix that soon!
Choosin' this over Sphax. This is so much prettier and even though I'm not all for 16x packs, I love this one. It stays with that whole Minecraft feel but at the same time adds a whole new feel to the game.
Quickly some little picky crap with stuff that I think has bee there for sometime:
-tall grass as a bit of an eye-sore when abundant (i.e. in a plains biome), and a simple switch of the tallgrass/fern could work wonders
-Second stalk of the sugar-cane lacks the detail of the other stalks, not sure if intentional, but looks weird imo
-I simply don't like the pickaxes (although the style works with the wooden pick, imo)
Now new(er) blocks 'n' crap:
-Lamp is nice. Me Gusta.
-Jungle logs, too (although you seem to think they're swamp stuff?)
-New items seem fine, and quite fitting
-Enderman's interesting, although perhaps a little noisy to suit the rest of the pack
-Jungles look generally awesome
+ awwwwwesome feedback! thank you. this will definitely be great to look forward to on what i change next. i really appreciate your words and the honesty. there are things in this pack that i have wanted to change and it's been on the "to do" list for some time. i've been running around minecraft earlier today and actually noticed the grass issue while on the plains biome. you're right, it is kind of strange. one of the grasses i was going for more of a kangaroo's foot or something like a dried weed, but i'll look into what i can do to make that better.
+ sugar-cane issue i didn't even think of, so thanks for that!
+ i love your honesty about the pickaxes, they were fun for me but i totally respect others opinions on hating something or loving it. i'll see what i can do. maybe i can update it, and if others like the original pickaxe i had, i can use that as an alt texture?
+ lamps, thanks.
+ jungle logs... yeah, i was thinking swampy. i need to go back and make them greener! good call (seriously).
+ glad you enjoy the new items... they were a quick work-around (that's what she said!), so i'll see if i can diversify them later on.
+ enderman is just wip... i was trying to emulate a mustard/black colored rainforest frog i had been referencing... pretty sure i don't like the enderman at all, by any means. it is noisy... i'll be redoing him. i would like all the mobs to feel completely subtle and in the "rainy sunday" environment!

whoa! really! sphax is someone i look up to, generally because we're all creatives around here, and his volume of work is incredible. i know it's mostly vector work on illustrator, but regardless, it's pure talent, and to be honest, pretty tough to get it to all work right. kudos to him!
i was going for a "pretty" look, i guess you could say. i wanted it to fit with the poem, and be something easy to understand. being pretty and all is a bit tough when working on the monster/mobs, haha. i'll have to do something witty

Yay, you're back! I've gotta say I understand how you feel completely. I'm job hunting at the moment (trying not to let my MSED go to waste and ya know repay my loans) I still don't have my terrain completely finished....isn't that sad? Everytime I felt like I was getting close, I refined something else instead, and now all the new textures have been added. I still have not even attempted to do a mob. They scare me a bit honestly lol. Keep on keepin on!
The second 16x texture pack that has truly wowed me. I'm a fan of the grungier look and it will definitely be a nice complement to Isabella. Would love to see a custom font that works better with the GUI.

thanks for the support, truly.
