I was just wondering if there was support for random mobs in painterly pack, or an add-on for it. I love my painterly pack, and i love random mobs, but since i dont have the files for it in painterly, the mobs variations just look like different colored default skins. So, does anyone know where I can find painterly support for random mobs? :huh.gif:
Uuuuh... You think in the wrong way there...
Random Mobs doesn't support Texturepacks, but some Texturepacks support Random Mobs, you see?
But if you're saying that you just like this particular texturepack but want different mobs in it, then I may have a solution.
You can open the texturepack-file with winrar or some other archiver, go to the mobs folder and add additional mob skins to it. They just need to have different names, so let's say you want three different chicken skins, the files need to be called chicken1.png, chicken2.png and chicken3.png
EDIT:
It is allowed to suggest altering of texture packs, if it's for private use only, right?
Yes it is and thats what i meant. I wanted to know if someone had already made random mobs skins for painterly pack, cause I suck at making skins. :tongue.gif:
You can download the entire Painterly Pack (all of its options) and then take out the mob skins you like. You put them in you texture pack by naming the same as the normal skin you have for it, and then the next number. For example, to have 4 different creeper skins for randomobs, you would have :creeper, creeper2, creeper3, and creeper4 all in the mobs folder.

yeah, you are allowed to alter packs in any way, as long as you do not re-release it and it MUST be for your own private use.
