New post, new start, new pack. I present the long-hidden Work In Progress, Vultus!
Information:
This is the follow up in practice to my previous, failed attempt at a texture pack, currently with ~40 blocks and 17 finished tools.

Something smells like Ghast eggs...
Whoa! That's a big diamond!
Chaos Gods always have the best temples.
Nice, cozy fireplaces.
More will be added as progression is made.
Special:
So, I did all the stone bricks in a different style than many of my textures currently in use. Why? Because I've only had 3 textures directly pointed out as being good, and they were planks, brick, and netherrack. Planks and brick were made with the most obvious way of detailing, which shows. Planks and brick are also my oldest textures in the pack. At the time of creation, this style was all I knew. So, I really need some feedback on this part.
Should I continue detailing with this style?
Please, if you are going to post, provide constructive criticism. Every post is appreciated, but CC helps me to know what's good, what's bad, and what needs work.

Whipped this up real quick;
On the bright side, I got it done. On the other side, the "teeth" look slightly ridiculous, and the rest of the added detail is too dark to see. I'll have to fix this in the future, but for not, I am done with mobs.
Second, new tools
Those iron tools are made to last, but those gold tools, they're the best you'll see!
I learned some tricks while I was thread-free, namely using overlays to help add detail.
The obsidian will stay for a while, the slabs are too glossy for my taste, and the planks are actually a placeholder, they're the oldest piece I have in the pack.
My cobble does have outlines, and I don't know why. I've always tried to avoid it, and usually can, except on cobble. As for the contrast, noted.
I enjoy that you enjoy the pack.
In other news, I have some stuff ready to show tomorrow. I upped the contrast, and added 1 other small effect to Enderman, got a 'preliminary' Ghast, which has been named WTFGhast.
I would post it tonight, but I want to get a bit more done before doing such, and it is a bit late to post new content.
WTFGhast, after having been whipped. From the sounds they make, whips excite them!
Sorry this one was so far away, took me a while to get the ghast shooting, had to be on the ground, since they don't attack on creative.
Thatsssss a very nice Texture pack you have there..... it would be a sssssshame if something where to happen to it!
In other words good texture pack! can't wait until its downloadable
T'would be a shame. I'm trying to get as much as I can done, so I can release soon as possible. The problem of releasing it too early is having too much unfinished. I quite enjoy working on items, so there may be more of those finished than blocks!
NIce pack. i quite like it. That brick looks awesome. Keep up the good work.
Ha. The brick is an old texture I used as a placeholder. I'll probably redo it soon, but I would love to have a customizer sometime, so I'll be sure to have that as an alt at all times. I'll probably provide an alternate textures file for a while soon after initial release.

Thoughts?
Quite fond of the ghasts. However, that's some definite pillow-shading/banding around the eyes.
Try to break up the shadowing more.
Let's see...
Texture pack... No download link...
I know, I'll spam the living @$ out of the topic link until one appears. I don't care how long it takes, DO WANT.

Well, you're quite enthusiastic. As I said previously, I would love to get a release out soon, but there is some more work that needs to be done.
Also, I may start getting more "defined" textures, as I am starting to get more 'precise' ideas for such.
Alright, I normally wouldn't post with such a small amount of new content, but I need to see if this is the preferred style.

Whoa, that is quite the compliment! Thank you!
I'm glad you like it. I was kinda iffy on the glowstone, but I decided it was better than the default. I'll make sure to redo it soon.
Thank you. Can't really say much after that.
Better not let Dissy see this post :ohmy.gif:
Thank you.
Thank you.
I'm getting bombarded with people saying it looks good! I didn't expect such a big amount of posts yet!
I like bold colors! I'm glad you like it, and I'll be sure to add plenty more before/if I stop working on it.
That made me chuckle slightly. But thank you.
First texture-specific compliment so far. Thank you.
Working on getting some more done now, enderman textures are hard to understand!
First off, enderman.
Second, new tools
including this onelol
I have to say that some of these textures show a crazy amount of improvement from your previous pack, namely the obsidian, slabs, and planks.
I would say that a lot of your cobble like textures have really harsh outlining, and you could probably push the contrast on your tools.
I'm liking what I see, overall.

unethical genetic research for over 10 yearsI would love to do that, but I need ideas as to a more detailed look. Perhaps a smooth, scaly look?
