Have you been missing the Aether mod? Getting tired of downgrading and/or switching jars to play? Well, now there's a simple solution to all your Aether homesickness! This texture pack incorporates many Aether blocks and items into regular Minecraft to imitate the feel of the Aether. Have a look!
Requirements:
I'd reccomend using MCPatcher or Optifine so you can see the randomized and custom leaf colors, textures, particles, etc. The colors get pretty funky with the vanilla block colorization! (At the moment, crystal leaves are cyan-tinted green until MCPatcher comes up with a Jungle Block custom palette. Sorry!)
You can get the correct tooltips for the blocks and items for a true feel! Just use patch these files into your jar as you would any mod, and then select "English [Aether]" from the language selection screen! It's that simple! (I'll update the language file as more features are added, so stay tuned)

Features:
Many blocks reskinned for an Aether environment.
Many items retextured as well.
Custom language files (see above) for correct tooltips.
Custom title panorama.
Aether GUI, mainly evident with the menu buttons.
Custom map terrain colors to match the blocks.
Aether passive mobs, some randomobs support as well.
Custom foliage and grass colors- make sure that you are using the latest MCPatcher or Optifine C2 and later.
Custom lightmaps.

The default texture pack is nice and all, but sometimes one may want to go for some subtle changes.
Don't want to edit Minecraft just for a small, annoying terrain image? Chances are, your problem will be solved with this texture pack!

This is good but could you enhance all the other textures a little more? I like your skill as a computer artist and i think this needs more work.
Yes, I've only done noticeable ones so far. There are a lot of default textures that I like as they are, but if you think I should get to work on every texture, then I'll start doing that! Thanks for your feedback.

Yes. As you saw, I 'm trying to keep as much of the feel of the default as possible, and currently a majority of the textures are still default. But as I said before, and now it seems a pretty popular idea, I'll see what else I can do about the other textures!

Why did you change back to default netherrack? :huh.gif:
I took the old, nostalgic Cobblestone textures back; and since the old Netherrack looks more like those, I put it back (with the new tiling pattern). I'm thinking of adding an alternate terrain.png so you guys can mod it yourselves to your liking; I'll also be working on some new (probably by hand) textures today.

Updated: Version 1.3.
Tweaked yet more items and blocks, and revamped the diamond texture. New preview image, too. Also now including a sheet of alternate textures, mostly from the older versions and default textures that were replaced.
