I have the same problem with the new 1.0 version. I have a favourite texturepack that I use (Forgotten Lands) but I like to have the windows clear so make that small adjustment and rezip the files and have had no problems in the past. Now when I rezip the texture shows up with a grey version of the default image and when I use it it goes back to being the default version of the Minecraft Texture. I cant post it here because it would be against the ToC of Forgotten Lands. I have a Mac so the zip might work slightly differently - but it did work before and now it doesn't.

Figured out what I did wrong!!! I zipped the folder instead of highlighting all the content files and zipping them. duh! Working now
