Recently I've had to say goodbye to the Water Shader mod as it causes a lot of flickering when Advanced OpenGL is enabled, and I can't disable that setting because if I do my frame rates get choppy and lag sometimes. Not wanting to go back to that hideous toxic blue default Minecraft water, I decided to use the custom water files the Painterly pack comes with. I used MCPatcher (version 2.2.2) to install it and, lo and behold, the custom water textures don't go through. It's still the same bright blue default water.
Here are the settings under the Options tab in MCPatcher:
Java heap size: 1024MB
Game debug logging: NOT checked
Water: Custom Animated
Lava: Custom Animated
Fire: Custom Animated
Portal: Custom Animated
Other: Custom Animated
Enable texture cache: checked
Reclaim GL memory: checked
So, unless anyone can figure out my OpenGL/Water Shader problem, are there any suggestions as to how I can get custom water textures working?
