I like what you did with the texture you used for the newspapers on the ground and the car.
I have to admit, I'm intrigued by the idea of a mod that makes it always night. That could be an interesting challenge.
Not mod, you can do it with that new control block that gives command, you can give it a loop to constantly switches to night.. and for missions.. man, cant wait ye i found some paper image on google and photoshoped it to texture thingy

Excellent! I've passed on playing the snapshots this time around, but I've seen a few videos of things people have done with the command block and I'm impressed. I'm looking forward to the next big release and reading all the cool tutorials!
And pumpkin pie! Finally! I've been wishing for a food use for pumpkins since. . . melons!

Iron armor in progress. Padded war-time coat with riot gear shoulder pads and a backpack, army surplus helmet, later there's gonna be steel-toed boots and armor-padded pants.

The texture pack looks awesome rendered too. Here are some renders I was playing with for the map I'm working on. (First one features Cavechunk's Bank Tower!)

Anyone think It would be cool if we could get a proper PvP server up for use with this pack? Ya know with say, the factions plug-in and such, granted we would need someone who could run the server or pay for hosting, and make sure it got big enough.
PS. Santigo, nice job on the new armor, awsome looking. Mind if I make a suggestion? Try using MCCustomizer for this pack, then you wouldn't have to leave stuff on the cutting room floor, have to make massive updates, or screw around with multiple versions of the pack.
hey Santiago3 i dont want to rush but i am can we get some sort of release before the next update i just need the textures so i can screw around on my map without having to comeback and change.

I like how it's not a full on army getup, but rather bits and pieces. This point that has bugged me on some other packs where the iron armor is a complete power suit in the middle of a wasteland. Very nice.
Also, if i could make a suggestion for chainmail armor, I just really wanna see a roadsign duct-taped to the guys chest. I have no idea why I want that so much, but I think it would fit with a "junkyard" armor style.

Still working away.
I don't download snapshots (too much [profanity="shit"] can get broken), so it'll be released after 1.4 is out the door. Hope that's all cool!

Thanks! I'm glad you like what I'm going after for the same reasons I do I want it to all look reasonable in construction. Something anyone could easily procure or would find comfortable in "battle." There *might* be a form of higher-tech armor for the diamond armor, but I honestly haven't decided yet.
As for the road-sign armor, the only issue I have with that is readability on the size of the textures I'm working with. I've already tinkered with that as an idea already (it was initially supposed to partially influence the Iron Armor, actually) but it just wasn't reading as "This is made from street signs." it was coming across as simply painted metal bits and sort of like an ad-hoc medieval armor suit.

Oh alright ill wait and for the sign thing not all signs have words like those railroad signs that are like a stop sign only with a white line going threw it.

Well, when I say "reads as" I don't mean words, I mean rather that on first glance it doesn't look like a street sign, it just looks like painted metal. If I had control over the player model or a higher rez texture I could maybe pull this off, but it's a harder thing to do...
... hmm, maybe I'll give it another whirl for the Chainmail Armor.

oh well you could go for higher res like 64 on the armor like you did the mobs even if you only used the higher res for that specific part you could always do it

Wow, this probably is not what you want to describe your run-down alien filled hell, but dat is purdy.
Never get lost again!
That is some amazing perspective work you've got going on there! Your work is superb, I'm really excited for it!
Now that is kick ass! Very nice!
