Actually, they're going to add a second layer to leather armour, and that second layer won't get dyed. I believe it is also set up that each color has it's own layer 2, so you could always have color changing goggles-- though the use of colored armour defiles that idea.

Hey Santiago it seems you need a little help in ctm, so i made nether and normal fences and the fence gate. Now you can change the texture of birch planks and nether bricks. i,ll pm you the files.
might i suggest that for the vanilla pack, the wheat and sugarcane reman as wheat and sugar cane? I say this because Xie's farming mod already has tomatoes and corn in addition to the default crops. please think on it.
The ruination continues!
I call the newest one "Bones" and it really takes advantage of Ruins' randomization features.
And this one is "Donut" - it wound up elongated but it still has a hole in the middle, with asphalt for charred wreckage -
I gotta say that the combination of dingy wallpaper, bare planks, tile and brick makes for one of the sketchiest things I've ever seen in Minecraft. The damage actually makes it less sketchy overall!
I also did a little radio tower. I mean to do a much bigger version at some point. I freaking love the glass panes!
I adapted a barn I'd done for vanilla, a telephone pole and two versions (+/- wallpaper) of a vanilla-village house - I think the new siding looks great. Pics here.
Atomicstryker hasn't updated Ruins yet and it currently has a bug that screws up the rotation of the 1.3 blocks, but I grabbed schematics in the correct orientation:
I've been a lurker here for a long time (this thread especially) and I just couldn't stay away any longer. I had to join and weigh in.
First of all, Santiago 3-- I love your texture pack. It's pretty much the only one I ever use.
Cavechunk-- I've been building things with this texture pack for a long time, and I love your use of ruins with it. Awesome work, my friend. I've got a ton of different structures, from apartment buildings to tract homes / highways, etc. that I've made which you are welcome to use, if you're interested. Unfortunately I'm out and about at the moment, so I don't have any pictures to share. In a few days, I'll be back online and I can upload some then.
Anywho, if you are interested, what would be the best way to get the builds to you? I can do MCedit schematics, a map download, etc.
Keep up the good work!

Nevermind on the waiting-- I remembered I had an old copy of my main map stored online, so I pulled some of my favorites, converted them to schems and dropped them on a superflat so I could snap some screens. All buildings are fully furnished inside. Enjoy!
More screens:
Note: I have two different versions of this church. One with pews and one "battle church" full of sandbags with iron doors.

hay Santiago3 i was wondering what on earth is obsidian it never bothered me until now but that's only because i have no idea what it is it looks like a garbage disposal for a sink to me with the teeth and such.
this is one of my favorite texture packs... tis about time i commented XD
good to see its up to date, last i checked it was still a WIP that was mostly up to 1.1, but not quite.
i almost forgot about it, good thing i didnt
also, if you want to make your legal crap... defensible, consider joining the texture artist's union (going off your description you will want to ask for a gold level emblem) it's basically an unofficial copyright, that protects you more than an offical one, since you have the union backing you should anyone steal your content.
if you're interested, make an application using the instructions under the "how to join" section.

Thanks! I like that windmill...
Post the schematics or PM me. And it's really not that hard to do Ruin templates (readmes are included in the mod files), I just tweak them a lot.
Unfortunately, Ruins has a bug with certain new blocks that screws up the rotation of stairs (and some other newer stuff), so those nice roofs will look awful 25% of the time. Major bummer. Until it's fixed, the only workaround I know of is to swap the spruce texture with the (working) oak block texture. IMO the planky spruce is more useful than the oak anyway...

Now that'd be pretty darn awesome! I'll play around with it, that's for sure

I'm pro-union in my politics. Does the Texture Artist's Union support that kinda stuff? I'm all for people defending one another's work. It's just that my lawyer friends tell me that unless there are damages (money taken using your work) there's really no legal leg to stand on unless you're looking to just toss money down a hole.

It was built exclusively for use with the portals and a piece of artwork inside of the KZ.png (looks like a little bracket techy piece).
They look snazzy together, but yeah, in its natural habitat it looks a little wonky to say the least.

The texture artist's union is a bit different than a proper labor union, but the idea of it is quite similar.
Actually there is money to be made from texture packs through adfly and donations. People who steal the work of others are often hoping to make a profit though those means. In terms of damages, stealing your textures is like going into a cafe and stealing the tip jar.
Anything you make is your intellectual property unless you transfer it to someone else. Your lawyer friends are probably talking about work that has no copyright protection, which is actually very easy to get.
Anyway, even if there were no legal reason that a website would be required to take down a texture pack, most websites that distribute texture packs have rules against stealing textures from others, and the TAU has some pull with most of those sites to help get things taken down that need to be.
But really most of what the TAU does is exchange information on method, give feedback on textures you post in the thread, and basically help you out if you're stuck on anything, need help using some hd patcher feature, or basically help you out with anything texture related whatever it may be,
just happened to pop in as the TAU discussion is going on. Well, I hope you join. You are a magnificent artist and it is always greatly appreciated to see people with as much talent as you join. I also want to take the time to say yet again how much I love this pack. They style and art is just nail-on-the-head perfect.
Well heck, I might just have to give this a go. It'd be good to be a part of the community and help foster new artists with any helpful hints I can offer.
Though, I think I'd wanna take a crack at a new logo for the group, hehe.
Hey Santiago, i'm back again with some more ctm...... this time the stone pessure plate and the stone button. I still have some more ideas in mind. I'll finish them and send you the files.

Very VERY cool, Reubenx! I'm really curious to see what else you can come up with. Wanna talk CTM ideas some time? Shoot me a PM!

SWEET! Very glad you like the ruins!
I've been away/busy/playing "a little" Civ but I will be getting back to the ruins.
