the new jungle wood is a tad bit strange to me personelly i dont like the sort of slits in the wood in large numbers its a tad bit odd looking
Well, I'm going for more of a palm tree sorta look since the jungle trees are larger shapes I wanted some smaller shapes to break them up a little. That and it's a little more exotic than a typical tree. That's my reasoning, at least.
i guess but it still seems tad bit off but you know thats just me and im a picky person so yay its still good work and your a great artist so dont let my critic bring you down
Showing off the new jungle wood. It's decaying house siding. Fun! Please note some of the new (and re-arranged!) "paintings" including a fireplace facade and a radiator. Also moved a few select pieces over from the "More Paintings" mod section because they were more useful in the vanilla version.

I like this pack so much that I'm planning to make a set of TEiEN-specific structures for the Ruins mod. I think I'll wait until the pack is updated though. Looking great so far!
You already did the wood siding block I was hoping for, which is awesome. I'd also really like to see some more metal-type textures though I realize there might not be enough blocks:
-rusty iron plating, either painted or 100% rust
-smooth plating (no rivets & black/neutral color, for machines and vehicles)
-corrugated (shipping containers, tunnel interiors - I like the new sheet metal, but it would be good as a solid block)
Here's my ideas list for Ruins templates:
Highrises & skyscrapers - there are lots of promising schematics out there
Vault(s), of course, but I haven't settled on a plan yet...
Houses & cabins of various types - gotta love the wallpaper and the new siding will be very good to have
Missile silo base
Sewer pipe
Radio tower - glass-pane girders FTW!
Factory/warehouse - like this
Bunker/pillbox
Water tower
Barn
Tank farm (one thing I'd use rusty iron for...)
Stock tank
Gas station
Plane crash site (if there were suitable metal textures)
Sunken buildings
Underwater base
Sunken ship & submarine, floating hulk (would also need metal textures)
Oil rig
City template using Formivore's Great Wall mod to do roads
I haven't started any of this yet. If there's a schematic anybody would like to see in this project, link it and I'll take a look - no promises though. Do check out Ruins, it's easier than you may think to make custom templates if you can run MCedit. I'm willing to answer questions about the process if they aren't too RTFM-derpy.

Wow, very very cool idea. I already have several of the textures you mention in the next version, so keep an eye out for its release!
This would be amazing!
Now if only I could get someone to mod in a craftable rifle (with bullets), animal cage (for transporting animals back to your fortified compound), and maybe a disabled vehicle model that we could randomly spawn on the roads you talked about that'd be great!

Balkon's WeaponMod has a craftable gun that I thought was pretty balanced. If I play with it again I'd definitely swap in your texture.
As for cages, there's Animal Transport and Baitbox(neither of which I've actually tried but djoslin is awesome).
Not sure about vehicles at all...
Don't get yer hopes up for roads. The only thing I know of that will get close is Formivore's Great Wall generator, which can be configured to make them... but it's designed for walls. I have a hunch that modern-style roads won't look quite right, let alone using it to make a modern city.
And Formivore's Walled City isn't ideal for modern structures since it must have walls with towers at the edges & gates. I haven't played with MACE yet. I like the control & options in the Ruins mod.
Thanks for the tips and links, guys! I'll be trying some of those mods out here in a bit. My only concern with a lot of the mods out there today is that in order to get exactly what I want, I have to get a lot of stuff I don't want (ie: in that gun mod, I don't want like 30 types of guns, just a simple rifle built from existing materials in vanilla minecraft would do). The animal transport mod looks pretty straight up, though!
Thanks again!
I'm a 3D modeler by trade, too, but I don't know exactly how you go about importing a model into Minecraft. I'm assuming it'd use something really basic like a .obj file for exporting, but I'm just not sure at all. I'd love to litter even the landscape with various new models (street lamps, trashbins, cars, trucks, semi-trucks, etc).
If there are any experienced modelers out there I will gladly texture these models (and other ones you want, for trade).
When lava's moving it doesn't really have stones or what-have-you in it. I think it makes a pretty contrast.
I'll be working on the pack more tonight, folks. Just FYI
Welcome to the jungle!
Revamped the textures, and yes, those are new vines

Hit me up in PM, if you're interested.
