I have nothing to contribute at the moment. I do think MopyDream's idea might be good, however it doesn't really fit the theme. Once there are some actual textures for me to look at I'll criticize the **** out of them, but in the meantime I'll just do something else.
Although with the nether, you can really do a lot of things. Maybe it's what's left after a nuclear disaster. Maybe it's something else. There's a lot of ways it could turn out while still staying true to the pack's theme.
Considering he said he wants like an alien invasion to the theme as well, or at least that's what I think I remember him saying at one point, the Nether could be like an underground cavern on the alien's home planet?
Although that's not really a bad idea, most people seemed not to like the alien textures so he pretty much got rid of them (although they may be alternates). Maybe that could be an alternate option as well. Unfortunately, he doesn't sound all that enthusiastic about alternates in general.

Very true... Although once it IS released, alternates should be an option. To me it seemed like he just didn't want to make alternates at all (for the wool at least).
thats exactly what there is. Summerfields has copyright, wich means you cant release screenshots from your own pack, when something from his pack is in the shot!
Posting a screenshot isn't distributing it dumb-ass.
He's aloud to do it as long as its all out once he releases the download link.

A while back in this thread I made a comment that said I thought that some of your textures where messy and I'd just like to apologise because I was very tired and I'm sorry if I offended you.
I personally blame my comment on the fact that I was feeling butthurt because my texture pack isn't nearly this good.
It's all good in the hood! That comment actually made me go back and fiddle with some of my textures and in the end they were better for it :smile.gif:
No harm, no foul! It is through critique and change that every artist advances his skill!
I hope you enjoy the pack when it's released and don't give up on making your own artwork either. You've got the dedication to make something, so don't stop! :smile.gif:
Your texture pack is everything I've ever wanted and more. Most are heavy on a theme but your's is real relaxed and not all fuzzy like some others. Much better than last days in my opinion. I'm seriously waiting to use your godly texture pack. xD It kind of reminds me of The Book of Eli alittle bit in your style. I love it and you.

I don't like the transition from soul sand to netherrack, there's a bit on one of the edges that gets cut off quite abruptly and draws attention to the fact that it is indeed a block.
Also, we are going to get mobs and custom water and lava right?

Actually, I know how... You need to make something like the way the custom lava/water flow stuff looks, and title the png file as "custom_portal.png"
Or at least, that's how it is in the texture pack I've got, and it seems to work without any issues.
