Very nice. I'm currently too tired to say much, but I'll resume criticizing when I feel better. New textures look good though, although there really wasn't much wrong with spawner.
Very nice texturing when the download is up i Will download this.

I beat two super hostile maps, see of flame 2 and spellbound, have to finish more. Plan to do inferno mines for lulz and win when it goes out. Have fun!
Although I think the wool being pillar-tops is cool and all, I just can't stand the fact that it's going to entirely destroy anything made out of wool.
I really, really, really wish people who make post-apoc texture packs would keep the blocks as what they are, because that's the best way to keep it, as it doesn't destroy the feel. Revamping entire textures and re-purposing blocks that otherwise had no problem being what they were already is incredibly annoying, and it leaves a huge bad taste in a lot of peoples' mouths after they realize how stupid it ends up looking.
So please, keep the wool as wool, cobble as some type of stone, etc. Otherwise, it's really a bad idea in the end. Go to some multiplayer servers that utilize wool for floors, and you'll see what I mean.
TL;DR: Re-purposing blocks ends up making the texture pack way to proprietary. Don't do it, please.
If you do listen to above poster, please leave your current ones in as alternate textures. I, for one, like alternate wool textures. (although he has a point.)

I think it's a great idea, more diamonds for you Santiago x5. Also, could you include a map download in the release too?

I for one love having alternate textured wool, it gives you so much more flexibility when it comes to building, instead of everything in your massive city being made largely using only a few different materials.
As for what you said about previously made structures and servers. If something you built out of wool looks stupid, it's because those weren't cardboard boxes you were using for your flooring, it was a nice carpet. If you build something using this texture pack and then switch over to default, then of course it's going to look stupid, because that wasn't wool you placed on the ceiling, it was an air duct, and that wasn't wool you placed outside the entrance, those were beautiful looking stone pillars.
If you really want to use it for developed worlds, then you can switch out the wool for alternate textures that keep them basic colored wool, a lot of texture artists make an alternate download for those because there's always going to be people that want to keep their wool, wool.

I for one love re-purposed wools blocks. Plain wools blocks are just so boring unless you're making pixel art. And if you ARE making pixel art, what the hell do you need a texture pack for in the first place?
K. For all the children that think I don't like the wool blocks being pillar tops, let me reiterate the biggest key point to this: "Although I think the pillar-top wool blocks are cool and all..."
Implying that I meant go ahead, keep it, but an alternative would be nice. Context clues are a crazy, insanely useful tool, maybe some people here should actually look into it.
So I get the point, stop being redundant about what everyone else has said in reply to my post(including myself, even! holy cow!) because I was already implying an alternative. In-fact, I'm pretty sure he would provide an alternative simply based off my suggestion as he is a professional artist after-all.
Otherwise, I look forward to actually using this pack, because I think it's wicked as hell looking, and I love the concept of it.

I'm sorry, I obviously misread this particular context clue. Silly me for associating "incredibly annoying" and "bad taste in peoples' mouths" with negative connotations when you clearly meant them in a positive way.
Although I agree that alternates are wonderful and should be utilized.

Well, considering this is a hobby and not a job, I'm just gonna keep on keepin' on! Sorry your older maps won't work as well with this, but I hope you consider using it in the future on other projects. :smile.gif:
I might make an alternate, but I also might just not have the time/desire to do so.
I'm not going to involve myself in this pointless argument, but I do agree that alternate textures are the ****. Santiago already said he wanted to make them at some point (I think). In the meantime stop arguing, because in the end you both want the same thing.
EDIT: Nevermind, Santiago just (politely) owned you. :tongue.gif:
Your "regular" world is already a bit horrific, what if you made the nether cute......I mean like eat your own face cute? Think about it ( serious nod).

I have nothing to contribute at the moment. I do think MopyDream's idea might be good, however it doesn't really fit the theme. Once there are some actual textures for me to look at I'll criticize the **** out of them, but in the meantime I'll just do something else.
Although with the nether, you can really do a lot of things. Maybe it's what's left after a nuclear disaster. Maybe it's something else. There's a lot of ways it could turn out while still staying true to the pack's theme.

An interesting proposition...
I would do it and not tell anyone just to see people's reactions :smile.gif:. Anyhoo, I am looking forward to the release! Keep up the awesomeness!
