Anyway, MrNessEagleofOnett, I've come up with a few suggestions for enemies and such:
Wither-------Ness' Nightmare
Silverfish-------Dread Skelpion
Wolf------Desert Wolf
Sign-----Crazed Sign
(Minecraft mob "Spider" is the EB enemy "Arachnid!" with the TP.What would be cool is if the "Spider" of the "Spider Jockey" was the enemy "Arachnid!!!" In which the Spider would have purple butt stripes instead of yellow)
Only other thing I would like is if you made things such as Carrots, Potatoes, Pumpkin Pie, Poisonous Potatoes, Baked Potatoes, Carrot on a Stick, Enchanted Books, and Firework Stars, visible. (The Enchanted Books and Firework Stars are two little arrows in the corner of the block, so it's not invisible but it makes it hard to notice in things like Dungeon Chests.)
I hope I'm not to late in doing so, but I am working tirelessly to revive this pack. Obviously no longer as a texturepack, but as a resource pack with sounds and a new language to make more sense in scenarios such as a slingshot being called a bow and bats swords. The textures to save my sanity have been combined with an old Mother 3 pack I found. Because I know there will be questions: Nether = Magicant/Ness' dearm, End = Gygais' Relm. (Even trying to make enderdragon look like gygais, very challenging)

I've always questioned why the Nether is Magicant. It just doesn't fit.
The Nether is creepy, which is more than fitting for the Devil's Machine. The End is ominous, which fits The Cave of the Past. The progression might not fit with Earthbound's story, but the opportunity is too good to pass up. Then there's Enderman as Ghost of Starman, Ender Dragon as Bionic Kraken, and Ghast as Ultimate Octobot. Also, if the Bow is changed to one of Jeff's guns, then Skeleton can be Wooly Shambler and Wither Skeleton can be Wild 'n Wooly Shambler. In case you don't remember, all of these enemies (except the Wooly Shambler) are found in the Cave of the Past.
One potential argument in favor of Nether Magicant would be Blaze as Mr. Molecule (One of the only enemies which knows PSI Fire), which would require some concept stretching since Mr. Molecule is a stick figure and also not an atom. Honestly, despite how great it would be to have Blaze Rods as electrons, I'd prefer Uncontrollable Sphere. Although it originates from the Seventh Sanctuary, it has Fire Alpha and Beta, and explode as a death action rather than Mr. Molecule's Flash, Fire, Freeze, and Thunder Alpha. Mr. Molecule is just a bit too well-rounded to be considered a fire-based enemy imo.
Another argument is Loaded Dice as Magma Cube. It works because I don't have any ideas for Magma Cube (or Zombie Pigman) which hold up with the Devil's Machine setting. Nothing to say about this one. It's a solid argument. But I do think that the tradeoff for simultaneously taking care of Ghasts, Blazes, and both Skeletons instead of Magma Cubes and Blazes is worth it. If you have any Magicant-related ideas for Ghasts and/or Wither Skeletons then go ahead. I'm open to ideas about why Nether as Magicant fits, though I admit I don't expect myself to be pursuaded very easily.
Lastly, Devil's Machine on fire > Magicant/Sea of Eden on fire.
...In case you were wondering, yes, I'm making my own Earthbound texture pack from scratch.
Anyways, ranting aside, I'm interested in seeing your progress. I always like seeing other people's interpretations.
And are you SwimmingBird941 on Youtube, by any chance? He uploaded a video a few weeks ago about his Earthbound resource pack based on BoundCraft.
So happy to see this Texture P- Oh, pardon me, "Resource Pack"- back in action!! Especially with the recent major updates of 1.6+. The suggestion so far are great, and I would love to see them used in the Resource Pack. I think it's so nice of you to rescue this RP. I love it, (and I'm sure I'm not the only one who does...) but you can't even place it in the folder for Minecraft 1.6+. Can't wait to see it new and improved, especially with the new fancy sounds and stuff that are added in Resource Packs. Again I just can't express my gratitude towards you reviving the Pack. I'm sure whatever you do will be great.
I have tried to contact nessofonnet for a collaboration but no go.
Anyway I am almost done with a resource pack of my own.
Not trying to steal the thunder of this pack as I like this one but it seems to be completely dead
Mine has sounds and is almost 100mb http://www.minecraft...pack-172-32x32/
I could definitely use some testers/artists.
btw the nether should be for certain the floor from gygas's layer. Also the redstone lamps should be the lit and unlit walls from the Lumine Hall as in giving you the ability to write words on a wall at the push of a button.
Keep in mind this is an old thing I was working on and doesn't have much to do with my new 32x32 one. I quit working on this as soon as I realized you could go up to 32x32.

32x is kind of excessive for the entire pack, most of Earthbound's graphics are 16x except for mobs.
I'll send you my pack after I get a bit of work done. Might be a while since I'm preoccupied on another project.

There were a few blocks that needed to be 32x32 [iron block, stone, nettherrack, etc.] So I blew them all up to 32x32 to mask the pixelation in the ones that didn't necessarily need to be 32x32 (also so I could run filters on them in gimp). If you send me a 16x16 pack I'll crop down my 32x32 for any missing blocks I think my mobs may scale down as well. I have already ported music for every music and alot of the sounds cept for 'the end'. I'd like to see a 16x16 pack out there as well for lower end computers.

Here is a picture that shows why I chose to go 32x32, some like the gravel (top left) tile perfectly but I didn't like the size. https://www.dropbox....xq9r/gravel.png
I don't know what you mean about Gimp since I'm using Photoshop, but I see your point. Once I finished tiling and animating my Netherrack, it gave the word a whole new meaning. On the bright side it creeps me out badly because of it.
About the music, same here until the music update.

Uh with gimp mostly I would use the cartoon filter. A rough example of what it does would be if there are three pixels brown, brown, and black it will replace the 'edge' brown with a color in-between black and brown. I mostly used it on the items. It's adds depth in blocks with a few colors and one main one. It's not at all what the filter is meant for. If you are curious gimp is free, use filter>artistic>cartoon> mask radius 3-7, percent black 0. Here is a picture for example: https://www.dropbox....0/ender_eye.png [If you don't download the original it looks weird]
This is a mother 3 sprite; it goes backwards, so its: finished (after cartoon filter), midway (after blowing up 32x32 and rounding off), and beginning 16x16
By rounding I mean I bring the outline down to thin as possible. After blowing up it's 2 pixels thick so I make it 1 pixel and blend everything by hand in paint and smooth it out with filters in gimp. That is way more than you needed to know but I enjoy talking about the processes involved.
So what texture did you go with for netherrack ? I couldn't think of a better suited one than gygas lair and I think it works very well.
If you are having trouble sourcing enough music starmen.net has all the music files for mother 3 and earthbound, you can use some of mine if you like as well they are already converted.
They have? Could you please tell me who, and where?
We're officially a work in progress and we could always use some extra hands.
Wither-------Ness' Nightmare

Wolf------Desert Wolf

I have an old 16x16 version of my pack that you may use to update this pack if you want.
