Yes, I'm sure that many people are gonna say something like "Oh ****, not another simple texture pack!" but I don't really care. :smile.gif: I happen to like how my texture pack is coming out and I feel it is set apart from most other simple texture packs. Anyways, here are some screenshots of the texture pack. Working on mobs and such. Terrain.png is the only thing completed. I plan to add more pictrues in, too! :biggrin.gif:
I plan on changing a couple blocks because I feel that they are a tad too "different".
See, I thought that same thing when I seen the first simple texture pack. I wouldn't use anything but those "realistic" looking ones. My thoughts changed, but hey, whatever floats your boat.
These were on the first page, there are 1000s of them out there, yours isn't original .

That's wrong.
We know that the Earth is round.
You have the opinion that this is set apart from other packs.
Unless you provide proof, or at least a statement on what DOES set it apart, you are wrong.
We know that there is very little room for variation with packs of this genre.
That does not mean yours is the same any other, it's just that it's harder to be different.

Here's the difference: "The Earth is flat" is an opinion based on a physical object that as a result can only be described in one way. A circle is a circle and a square is a square.
Whether or not a texture pack is good, on the other hand? That's an opinion based on perception. Perception is different based on the person; each person is an individual and one person can like something where the other doesn't. He made a texture pack that he likes. I can respect that.
That said, OP, it wouldn't hurt to listen to some criticism- You might find something that you do end up liking, after all. Being open to others' opinions is as important as sticking to your own.

Also, opinions can never be wrong. By saying the Earth is wrong you are stating a fact. I don't remember your username but you need to look up the definition of an opinion. You cannot disprove an opinion. :tongue.gif: And I uploaded it for the simple fact that I wanted to share it. If you don't like it, no need to sit here to try and bring me down. If they wanted a pack exactly like this they could get one of the many other simple packs.
And for all you people arguing for the OP heres my counter argument. Firstly, do not argue that; "he tried his best" or "it is his first pack and is good for a first pack." because none of those are valid reasons. If a pack is bad whether it be your first pack or you tried your best, it is still bad. Nothing changes what the pack looks like, it is just another bad simple pack.
Seccondly, not listening to constructive criticism and refusing to change the pack because; "you like it that way." is not a valid point either. There was no point posting this for the community if you arent going to change it to fit the community, you may as well have just kept it to yourself.
