ok im having issues with a texture pack other than a small issue that i know how to fix will wildgrass i need help in getting rid of these wierd lines with my texturepack. im using GIMP photo editor and minecraft 1.8.1
how do i get rid of the lines that see through the land
I've had this problem. If it's the same thing that happened to me, at some point the terrain.png file got bumped off-center by a pixel or so. Search around the very edges of the image to figure out which way you need to move it back.
Folks, I'm pretty sure disco-is-dead is making a texture pack. His Minecraft didn't just randomly start doing this. I can't imagine anything else that would cause this problem besides the terrain file being askew. Disco, please check your texture pack and see if this helps, I'm 99% sure this is your issue.
all of them are 16x16 no issues there and the whole picture is 256x256 any other ideas? this is a 16x16 texturepack btw
My thought was not that you were missing a pixel, the whole image can be 256 and the image inside can still be shifted. Since you are seeing through the top of the grass blocks, your image is slightly shifted down- the bottom pixel of the bottom row is probably cut off and there will be a one-pixel tall transparent line all the way accross the top of the image.
While this can cause similar issues, it is not the case here. Even if he had not tried it with no results, an issue with his render settings would have turned up long before he tested his texture pack.
If you use this site to upload your image and give me the link I can take a look at it and see for sure if there are any problems with it or not. If you're worried about folks stealing your pack you can PM me.
ok i uploaded it, im assuming u will know what to look for. i dont care if people take it
I'm going to need the link to the image, though. You should be able to get the link by clicking one of the copy buttons next to the image after the upload.
From the looks of the image, your terrain.png was bumped down 1 pixel by accident. I suggest copying textures you made yourself and pasting them onto a new base terrain.
However, I don't recommend using SMP's Revival as a base, cause if you plan on releasing WIP textures from your pack, SMP has the right to report it and have it taken down as he does not allow people to do that.
thankyou all i have got the problem taken care of and sorted out the texturepack is working and i can continue on to finish it up :biggrin.gif:. if u would like to see what the texturepack is going to be used for click on my signature to find my server this will most likely be the main 16x texture pack that we use

I'm glad you got your problem figured out. Sorry I couldn't help, I had to get home and go to bed, it was 11:30 where I live and I was still at school. From the image you uploaded I see that your image was, indeed, shifted down.
Please do heed the words of TDWP_FTW, though, and only release texture packs that are 100% original. It's fine to edit others' packs for personal use, but to actually post one that still contains textures by someone else is claiming their work as your own and it's a serious thing.
oh dont worry about it i am getting permission from the guy to use it
In the topic for SMP's Revival, there's a list of things you can and can't do. If it's just for private use, you're allowed to use it. But if you plan on releasing it to the public, don't even bother, as he can just get it taken down.
