Heya Guys. I have begun work on a x32 Texture pack. Still a Bit of a WIP. The Odd Red pillar there is Cactus. Instead of Cacti I like the " RANDOM PILLAR OF FIRE IN THE DESERT?!?!" Feel.
The Items and things that you have to manually change the look of in the inventory are not done yet, so they are still the default images. I will be working on these soon though.
I hereby give Otrovai permission to use the lava- and water animations from WolfCraft in his texturepack.
As Quoted above the Lava and Still Water Are Completely Wolfcraft.
The GUI Items Below are from the LB Photo realism pack. the x32 version. I have contacted scuttles about useing them, and am awaiting a Reply. If I am Denied they will Revert to the Default Textures as soon as I am made aware of the Denial of permission.
Are you referring to the way the Blocks mesh up? If so. I will say that meshing it together is VERY VERY difficult. And The only place it really Bothers me is the Grass. The Sand looks like it has little Wind swept waves in it to me.
Sorry for the Double post. But I am announcing the rework of the grass texture, as it is starting to bother me more than i thought it would.
I will also Try to get at least some of the items done before the update.
Here is an update pic showing the new grass, it's very smooth looking. So im not sure about it just yet. Feedback on the new grass would be greatly appreciated.
Minor Bump post to Update anyone interested. The Door sprites in the Inventory are now updated.
The Grass has been fixed and I feel that it looks alot better than it did before. Also Fixed some pixelation issues with a few blocks. Pine saplings no longer have random pixels floating about. And the Redstone torches when off no longer have those brown boxes hovering around.
ok if you are going to repost that Please Explain to me what it is you mean exactly by that. It helps MUCH more than just saying " this is bad" without explaining what " this" is.
Tiling is referring to how your blocks look in a group and whether or not it's obvious that everything's made of 1 texture repeated over and over. An example of bad tiling is when you look at an image (in this case your grass) and something stands out (lines along the edges of each blocks) that makes it obvious that there are a bunch of separate blocks and not a seamless whole. Most people don't explain this because most people can deduce what this means from reading the word.
You could always work in colour and then drain the saturation from it. Also, a good way to test tiling is to copy the texture a few times, and place a few of them next to each other. When I make textures, I draw the texture, then put one copy of it to the right, and one copy below. I then blend the top left texture to these other two, which usually fixes all the tiling errors.
Finally Fixed the tiling on the grass. Though now it looks REALLY smooth. Like Someone came in and mowed every blade of grass the exact same height. Thats not to say there is zero Texture on it. Its just very subtle.

I hate seeing people who can get good textures waste it by not getting the tiling right.

Still trying to work with the grass. It is not going well. Having to work in Grey-scale is a bit annoying.
