Someone said they have the two working, but I am not sure how to do that.
So....
Here's what I'd do if I were you. Go to the bin folder where your currently modded minecraft.jar is (%appdata%/.minecraft/bin), and ctrl-x (cut) it and move it to somewhere NOT in the minecraft directory, for example, "my documents". then clear the bin folder.
Then open minecraft, it will download the files again fresh.
Now download optifine (not multithreaded as it has many issues still), and open it with whatever .zip software you use. Also open the minecraft.jar with the .zip software. In the minecraft.jar, delete the folder called "META INF". Then copy the files from the optifine.zip into the minecraft.jar, run minecraft, and there are a *bunch* of settings you can mess with to improve performance. I hope this helps, let me know if the 256 works for you!
Just tried it with optifine and it ran pretty smooth...I didnt try it while recording and and I didnt mess around with the options a whole lot Ill do that tomorrow when I have more time... Also love the pack a lot Ill probably use it for a long time and thanks for introducing me to optifine I didnt even know it existed lol

yeah eventually I'll get to making this a complete pack
Thanks, it was an unfair match since joliween already had a bunch of loyal fans :tongue.gif:
It might have been better for you if you'd released a lower rez pack for the contest. Less than 25% of minecraftians can run 256X at all. I have a quality gaming machine, and your pack ran at playable, but annoying framerate. If you'd done 128x, instead, you would have had only slightly decreased detail (relatively speaking) and MUCH more people able to get it running to vote on it.

Have you tried optifine? It is 100% better than the MCPatcher, because it speeds up framerates
I am just curious if you will be updating your texture packs for Minecraft 1.0 the official release. I want to try out your Fear texture pack, but it seems to only be 1.8.1 compatible. I know these things take time; I am just curious if I should wait for you to update, or if you don't plan to update - in which case I need to look at other texture packs. Thank you for your time.

I do plan on updating this and all my others, but as you said, it takes time to make all the HD stuff :tongue.gif:
Eventually, hopefully by the end of the year, my texture packs will be 100% completed :smile.gif:
I am putting work into bringing this pack up to be compatible with the latest release. I also am going to try to texture my first mobs once I finish the terrain and items. There are still quite a few items and only a couple blocks left to texture, so I hope everyone is excited for an update in the not-too-distant future!
Wow, this looks freaking amazing!
Downloading this now!
Thanks! I am working to make it 1.1 compatible. If you like this, you will also like my friend's texture pack. It's called Isolation, it is a 64x that was my inspiration for this pack.
Can't wait for an update :smile.gif: I always wanted to try this one but it was never at the same version of my Minecraft. Better hurry up before 1.2 comes out :tongue.gif:

Thanks! I'll add it onto the OP
Oh I forgot! I need to add those links up there. I'll do that right now.
