You can use either a texture pack or the minecraft.jar itself (I recommend the former). Looking through the files, you can find foilagecolor.png. Edit it to make it all the same color, I believe. I've never done it before, but I'm pretty sure thats what you would do. That's also why I recommend using a texture pack... lol
First Get an photo editor software liek gimp or paint.net. Then go into your minecraft.jar with some kind of archiving software like winrar or 7-zip. Once your in the minecraft.jar look for the terrain.png. Open that with the photo editor and change the tree textures to however you wanted it to be. Hope I helped :biggrin.gif:
