First I want to apologize if this is the wrong forum for this post, because I wasn't sure whether or not I should post it here.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had a default texture pack for editing in order to more easily make texture packs. I don't want the terrain.jpg, but all of it like the sun and moon and gui and such. Especially having the water and lava to edit would be helpful, because my attempts at recreating those always turn out awful.

Get MCP, it'll decode the minecraft jar and all of that stuff along with it. All the images get placed under the temp folder.

Or just open the .jar file with Winrar or 7zip.

That'd work too. I guess mine is a little more complicated.
