That's not an opinion, it's a stupid request, so don't make any selfish demands unless you like being hit in the head with a hammer.
The point I am getting across is that there need to be less simple packs, there are already hundreds that are identical, and they don't put any effort into them =(

if you dont like them. create your own! for people with lower end pcs those SIMPLE packs help!
There is no proof that having a block that is only one or two colours is better for a PC than blocks of the same resolution that use many different colours.
There is a relation between resolution and performance, but that's it.
The thing is, simple packs, are a genre.
But unlike any other genre, all packs within that genre are exactly the same.
I have no problem with a simple pack, but I do have a problem with people posting packs where you can find the exact same content of that pack, anywhere else within minutes.
What we want is more originality which will lead to better variety and more quality textures.

Umm... no, they don't. 16x resolution is 16x resolution. The pack won't go faster no matter what you place on it. The only thing that makes the game run better is down-sizing the terrain.png.
