I'm seem to have problems getting MCPatcher 2.2.0 working correctly. I'm using it to try to install ModLoader and Steamcraft along with Glimmar's Steampunk texture pack. MCPatcher gives no errors, and when I run Minecraft from the test minecraft button, everything seems to work fine. Its when I start minecraft from the exe that I have problems. The mods seem to be installed properly, but the texture pack doesnt work, and it acts like vanilla minecraft as far as textures go.
does the mod introduce new items that dont have a texture for the texture pack? if the texture pack doesn't recognise the item, that might cause some issues. if the mod doesn't introduce any new items or any new things you can SEE while playing or the texture pack is MADE for the mod then im not sure.
Ok, I figured out what the problem was. I've been using batch files to be able to run different copies of the minecraft.jar so I could have vanilla minecraft in its usual appdata/.minecraft location, and have separate modded copies in other spots on my hard drive for trying out different mods in their own sandbox. Even though I pointed the input and output locations to the custom spot I had setup for a separate steamcraft install, it seems to be still putting all the changes into the default vanilla minecraft.jar.

Well, I am glad the problem is resolved =)
