Hey can someone make me a texture pack that is the same as the default in every way except the biome gradient does not include swamp for a video I'm going to do
You could just use Minecraft 1.8 instead, or you could change the grasscolor.png and foliagecolor.png transparent, or solid color green or something =P

Actually the colors are hard coded, they can't be changed.
Btw, this really should go in texture discussion.
The textures are NOT hard coded, they CAN be changed =) The grasscolor.png and the foliagecolor.png are what control the color of the grass and the foliage, and if you change the color to a solid color on either one, it makes all of the grass/foliage that color(Depending which one you changed, if both.) That is why in those two pictures there are shades of colors, for each biome.

I know this, but it is for all biomes except the swamp, those colors are hard coded.

This is also incorrect, the swamp is also controlled by the grasscolor.png. In fact, I have just tested it right now to make sure, and when I made the grasscolor.png black, the swamp grass was indifferent from the regular black grass =)

In all the 1.9 pre-releases, swamp biome colors are separate from the usual biome colors.
The only thing incorrect here is you.
I use Painterly with a different grasscolor.
Still, swamps are BLACK.
It is hard coded.
I have changed the grasscolor.png to black, and have tried it with both 1.8.1 and 1.9 Pre 4, and each time the grass was pitch black =) I also changed both to white just now, and both are now white.

It isn't exactly controlled by the grass shader, minecraft does affect the colors ingame through hard coding (increases contrast or something).
Example : This image was taken with a grass shader of a solid color :smile.gif: . So if your shader is black or white, you may prove your point, but if you want normal colors, it isn't going to happen in 1.9.

Interesting, that effect didn't happen in my game =o It reacted the same in 1.8 and 1.9 o.0
