I'd really appreciate it if you add mod support to some of the awesome mods such as elemental creepers, iron chests and Mine & Blade Battle Gear mod..
Mine & Blade/Battle Gear mod is kinda neat but there are allot of textures that I would have to make
just for A mod that will probably just get outdated
if some people would like to help make some textures for the mine & blade mod that would be great.

What program would you recommend for beginners?
I think for weapons in the Gear mod you just need to modify some textures, but the GUI will need some minimum work too, and with the elemental creepers you only need to recolor the creepers (would it be easy for beginners? me maybe?)

I recommend Gimp it is fairly easy to use and works quite well.
And yes it will be easy to recolor the creepers,
I was thinking about making textures for the Battle Gear mod before
but I never got around to it.

That is because you didn't read the Installation instructions near the top of the original post.
I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for all your hard work on this texture pack! It is my absolute favourite, and I would not be able to stand playing Minecraft without it. I really hope that you will continue to work on it for a long, long time.

I will continue working on it, hopefully as long as Minecraft is updating and maybe longer.
GLITCH : Well I used the customize feature and when I put it in my t-pack folder, the image for the texture pack was the default one and I couldn't select it. I could click it all I want but it didn't switch to the texturepack.
