Given the lack of grim, doom and gloom texture packs, I thought I'd take a shake the bloody thing.
I intend it to flow rather well, and maintain a similar dark appearance throughout the Nether, End, and regular overworld. I will be releasing the pack soon. Note: I just started this pack, so it's only got a little done. Bare with me, kay?

Finished the bedrock, gravel, lapis lazuli, and the white, gray, & black wools.
I'm satisfied with the gravel and wools, might do some heavy tweaking to the others later. Comments?
EDIT: And the brick sucks, I know. It will meet a painful death, I assure you.
the ores look like a baby punked on them, they need cleaning up and add depth to them also lighting and shadowing.
theres lots that looks like it has been blured and again needs cleaning up.
other blocks have tiling issues that needs to fixed like the gravel and the dirt.
well thats most of what i can see you should work on the points
A baby punked them out? Is that anything like puke? I agree, they are horrid. I'm sort of new to this kind of shading, and I intend to do some serious work on them.
Yes, some of the blocks look blurred, and I'm assuming you're referring to the clay. It's staying that way. I like it. The others.... well, they suck too. I know.
Also, meh. Tiling is a pain in the ****.
Yeah the ores are pretty bad, I could help, I'm working on my 13th attempt at a texture pack and I've gotten quite good at ores.
While help would be nice, I'd really rather make this pack myself. Although, I have no objections to getting a few pointers... (if you wouldn't mind PMing me...)
Again, I'll agree the ores are pretty bad. But the Nether is great, when I saw the screenshots of it I said "Oh, nice!" out loud.
Anyhoo, what I recommend for the ores is to give them some depth. Add some shadows and highlights, to both the rock and the ores themselves. Give a look at my isolation pack (in signature) to see what I mean. I added darkness to where the ore cuts through the stone, and gave highlights to the appropriate places. If you want more help don't think twice about PM'ing me :3
