(Accidentally placed the Lapis Lazuli block in there before I changed it, just disregard it lol.)
Well hi.
This is my first texture pack (or it will be when it's completely finished), and I figured I'd post my progress so far and get some feedback.
This pack doesn't really have a set theme. My aim was to create a pack without making any radical changes to the original color schemes or designs (although somethings looks quite different, like the furnace).
I made this pack because I always I can never seem to find a texture pack that doesn't completely overhaul something I liked about the original textures.
Don't get me wrong, there are some awesome packs out there, and I've used alot of them. But something about the "Default" charm always makes me want to switch back to it.
Basically, everything in this pack, by the time it's done, will look completely different, but in a pretty subtle way, if that makes any sense.
Like I said, this is my first texture pack. And while I am an artist, this is definitely my first time doing anything on a 16 bit scale. So any feedback and criticism is welcome as long as you aren't a complete asshole about it (that doesn't mean I'll change everything you suggest either).

To Do list:
Terrain.png - In progress (About 50% done)
Mobs - Haven't started
Armor and Weapons - Haven't started
GUI - Haven't started
Items- Haven't started
As you can see, this is still a pretty big work in progress. But it shouldn't take too terribly long to finish.
Seems pretty good! I might just use this for my default. Though, one thing that just decides a texture pack for me: What do mobs look like?
Last time I downloaded a texture pack and I was so interested in what that bird-like animal was or the creature with one eye, only to realize it was a zombie and a creeper. Needless to say, I died. D:

The mods haven't been touched yet. I'll put a to do list on the main post so everyone knows what's finished.
Thats a very good texture pack you have there. Nice. With some ideas I've never seen before, like the mossy gold ore or something like that. Pretty good for a 16x texture pack. It seems more real than many HD texture packs I've used. Congrats. " I took my hat off", or something like that, i dunno how is this expression in english. The only strange thing I found was the TNT block. Its pretty nice, but have you insipired yourself on something (game, movie)? I think I've never seen something like that before.

Congrats. :laugh.gif:
Lol, I didn't get the idea from any particular place for the TNT. Although I'm sure It shares some color scheme with something. Now that I think about it, I'm kinda reminded of Deus Ex: Human Revolution when I look at it.
Looks nice. I'd love to see it when it's finished!

I'm going to hack bedrock in then surround myself, after hacking infinite armor, and a pumpkin, plus layers of obsidian over the bedrock i am sealed in, so I won't die. *stomach growls* ...NOOOOO
I like it, very well done for a 16x texture pack. It doesn't create any radical changes, and you can tell easily what everything is. I hate it when packs change things and you can't tell what it is supposed to be. I would probably use this pack if I wasn't using the second one i'm creating.
I love this texture pack so far, since I can't use anything bigger than 16x without major lag :sad.gif: I've been looking for one that doesn't drastically change the way the game is supposed to look.
I really like that glass in this pack is actually transparent without all of those white pixels (like default has).
I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread for future updates.
Great work!!!
Thanks for thinking of the people who have shitty computers. :laugh.gif:
This is becoming somewhat more popular than I anticipated. I'll admit, I've had this project shelved for a few days. But you guys can definitely expect some updates this weekend.

Ok so I was alot busier than I thought this weekend, college classes and all.
This week you can expect an update, I'm already working on it. For real this time.

Work in progress still?
Seems very very good.
