This is my second texture pack that i am making. All feedback is welcome and will be considered. I am part of a texture group called Simpixelty, i am trying my hand out at making texture packs. My first pack was for 1.7.3 and was a clean and simple pack made for the server i was playing on at that time. I have been improving on my texture making and have been helping any WIP mod i can.
Holy crap this looks good for a native resolution pack. I'll give it a try. Only problem is the torches (lanterns) have an awkward flame sticking out of them. But that can't be helped of course.
hhmmm i thought the lanterns would be a better hit :sad.gif: o well. I can see what else i can come up with soon. Thanks for the positive reviews though.
OK it is updated!!! I raised the torches 4 pixels so now the flames are inside the lantern. Hope thats a decent fix for you please re-download. Link is updated. Thanks for the feedback!!!
The torches definitely look better now. One more thing that bugs me a little. In my opinion, the window frames on glass is too thick. I would reduce the frame to 1 pixel width. When you have a large window, all the frames seem to get in the way, reducing my otherwise excellent view of everything. That's just me though, hah.
I do agree that the grass could be worked on a little bit in order to tile better. When looking at a bunch of grass, I inevitably see a pretty noticable grid of blocks, rather than a continuous field of grass. Also, I find the ladder texture to be a little strange. It has wooden rungs I see, but I'm not sure why the rest of the ladder is white.
With those two things said, I am really liking this texture pack!
Thank you for the feedback again. I will redo the ladders since i do agree. I wanted to create a rope like texture but failed. As for the grass i favor it but as it's not a personal pack i will fix the problem.
Sweet, I'll download it right away. Just wondering, are you planning on making your tex pack encompass all the textures in 1.9.4? It makes me sad that all the new content have no textures. Or are you just going to wait for the official release? It makes sense to wait, but I dislike the original minecraft textures. :tongue.gif:
