Hey all, i've been getting a few PMs, asking if i can update Doku's old RPG texture pack.. And i've started working a little on it. Was just wondering if anyone else is interested in this, and if they had any suggestions for the pack? I'll also provide a download link below if anyone wants to try it out and leave feedback.


Also, isn't there a few updated versions of Doku's RPG pack out? Or are they also discontinued?

I've puzzled together the items also, just ask if you want a picture of them.

Anything special i should do with the pack? I'm kinda out of ideas, since the only thing they ask for is "update this please *link*" and nothing more =P

I would also like to say that i HAVE permission to use these textures, even with adcraft :smile.gif:

The link will take you to Adf.ly - All you need to do is wait 5 seconds then press "Skip ad", up in the right corner. It should re-direct you to the site after that.

These aren't even your textures. This is just downloading the Doku pack, and adding in the default textures from 1.8.

No, no. Many of these textures are made by others, you can check who in the credits.txt inside the pack. I'm allowed to use adcraft on it all. I will of course add more soon, but right now i just want to check if more people actually wants it, and if they have any suggestions for the pack.

You shouldn't be making money off of textures that for the most part aren't even yours. I have a GeruDoku fan update, and even though I did a few textures of my own, I'm not using an adf.ly or adcraft link for it.

It doesn't matter if you have permission to use the textures or not, you shouldn't, and can't use an adf.ly or adcraft link if it's not 100% yours (As in, you did every texture originally).

I basically just take "paid" to update the pack to work with the newest minecraft versions. And i have permissions to use adcraft, as i said above. If you don't like that, then don't download the pack =)

Did you find any bugs in the pack maybe? I'm looking for bugs, but i cant find anything myself atm.

Edit: Found red textured brick, and added it. From Tyken132's pack. Just re-download the pack to get it =)

I update my pack to the latest version too, but I don't expect money in return. In fact, mine is even compatible with 1.9 pre-release 3 (As in custom textures for everything, not just default textures resized like yours).

Getting permission to use the textures is one thing, but using someone elses' textures and making a profit off of them is another. Not to mention, Jadoku isn't 100% of the creator's content either, and she doesn't even use adf.ly or adcraft for the downloads. I don't see how you think YOU can, especially when none of this is yours.

Just turning something black and white for biome isnt good enough you have to adjust the brightness as well otherwise it'll look out of place.
