Hey, I would really appreciate it if you view my work in progress and evaluate me(Constructive criticism appreciated). I have decided to work on a texture pack for my self, but after really getting into it I decided to make this thread so when I'm finished everyone else can enjoy it to!
So here's what I got so far:
v.01
This is possibly the final textures for the smooth stone and coal.
Here is the dirt and grass. It probably wont stay like this, but this is what it looks like for now.
why make a 64x when you put litteraly no detail in it, i mean the grass texture is just an X.
I either didn't put enough information in the description stating my problem, or you didn't read the whole thing. Plus its a [WIP] If you don't know what that means, well it means work in progress. I literally started this earlier today, and I am no artist, so sorry if I didn't meet your expectations. )`:
Sorry, No.. There is minimal detail and I can literally see random white dots.
Then also I see that it doesn't tile.
If you are making a pack I would practice on drawing and texturing more before actually making one.
As I'm looking at the picture I'm thinking your still young.
Just practice alot and spend more time perfecting. Also, if your using paint: drop it.
use photoshop, or Gimp.
Gimp is freeware and it works simular to Photoshop.
I use it and it's very known among texturers.
Dog,
Edit: Also, try to make a texturepack truly yours.
Do something original or in your style.
Like the ores, they are simple blobs.
How about you make them look like they jump out of the stone?
Maybe some depth and shards?
