Now the other day I installed the JohnSmith texture pack just like any other one. However I found the water, pumpkins, brick, and several other blocks were glitched and appeared to have fire and water on them. So I installed MCpatcher (the latest version 2.1.2 I believe)and this happens. I patch it correctly but when i open up minecraft, it loads like normal showing the mojang thing, then goes to black. I saw something on the wiki that hd textures dont patch correctly in 1.8... Is this true and is this the reasoning for why it wont work?
I believe I do 2.1.2 for 1.8.1 right?
