Install: Place zip folder in %appdata%\.minecraft\texturepacks
open minecraft -> click texture packs -> activate!
This texture pack is meant to put a slightly darker approach to minecraft, added with some futuristic equipment.
It's not too ambitious in the alteration of textures, but most materials and such in the terrain folder have been worked on and tested extensively.
Darker colours, quite a few new textures, more "realistic" than the original in the colour perspective.
It's inspired somewhat from european movie tradition with less use of bright colours.
I've made this because of an assignment at the university, to participate in some sort of community, and since I love Minecraft, I thought I'd try to make something here.
The main reason for tools and swords not being changed are lack of time (as i've already spent well over 30 hours trying to get this working (and failing) these last weeks.
Any feedback / critizism and compliments are welcome, although I'd appreciate it if they had to do with the texture pack.
Since this is an open source course I'm participating in and doing this for, I figured I'd use the creative commons license they suggested in the forum. Basically - no commercial use, and if you take it for your pack, just make sure that will be free too!
Pretty good, but as said, the stone and ores need to be re-done, due to the tiling.
Thanks guys, I'll fix it first thing tomorrow.
Which stone tiles are bugged?
there's about 4 different ones
edit* ill just check myself hehe
edit 2* I've checked them but im not sure what you mean
is it the smoothstone that has a "seperator" so you can easily see where the blocks are?
or is it the stone bricks?
