Minecraft Forums

Due to recent decisions by the forum admins and my overall weariness of the continual battles between the community and those that run it, I am discontinuing all the threads on this forum. You can still find my packs on Planetminecraft and I will continue to update them there. However, with the exception of my administrative duties to the Texture Artists Union I will no longer be using this forum.

So I like it a lot, actually, but there's one thing that bothers me... your textures don't all follow the same style. I see what the style SHOULD look like in your first picture, but in the other ones, I can see a workbench, water, lava, doors, and brick that all look too different form the rest of the textures. Change them, and it'll look REALLY cool! :biggrin.gif:

The brick I agree with. That needs redone. I plan on redoing the flowing water animation. However, it will be a while. I spent about 18 hours on the custom animations today and last night and I am kinda burnt out.

Looks great so far. My only comment would be that there should either be less gray chunks in the dirt, or they should be closer to the color of the dirt. Because right now it's looking just a tad bit too much like gravel.

I was undecided about that one. I kind of like how it looks, but at the same time, I hate the kind of dirt. It's a pain to dig through.

Random twisty lines is the theme. Sort of. The theme is really optical illusions. However, getting a variety of patterns is hard to do at 16x

This looks like an awesome, amazing, sweet, orgasmic, abstract pack!
The only thing that bugs me is the dirt, it looks a bit odd.

EDIT: Actually using it, the dirt actually seems to fit in pretty good.

Thanks, though I may end up toning down the contrast of the dirt a bit.

OK, the promised screenshots. I downloaded the texture pack test world from the Maps forum, so I can give you this:



And I take strong issue with any problems anyone might have with your lava. Please don't change it, I love the way it coruscates. The nether looks amazing in this pack:



Although I wouldn't mind different glowstone. Everything else is awesome, but the glowstone is lacking a certain something.

But for my next request:



Next to this, the default art looks extra boring. Please to fix it soon? Please please please?

The dirt, IMO, is OK, but I certainly wouldn't complain if you wanted to make it darker and lower contrast. The bricks, on the other hand, I quite like.

ETA: Your birch texture is one of the nicest I've seen in any pack, including the serious high-res ones. Do you live somewhere that yellow birch grows?

I always enjoy and appreciate excellent presentation, that image preview from the central texture pack list got my attention. Looks great, I've been looking for a good cartoon like pack.
