ok so im making a new texture pack and i dont know how to change the top of the grass blocks, i know it is the light gravel looking thing because it has some sort of biome shading. but when i try to change it i can never get it the right color.

anyone have any tips??

i know that it must always be grayscale but how do i change the color of the top?
