Well stay tuned then; I have another test pack coming out tonight. I have a lot redone such as the surface textures, basic stone, red brick, the rouge torch particle, and crops. I also finished the moon phases, sun, brick varieties, zombie tex, skeleton tex, chest, minecart, and a few other things. I may have more done tonight before the release.
Industrial Contour Test Pack 2 is now ready for download. Also have it available in the first post. I took a bit of extra time to finish a couple of mobs, such as chickens, cows and sheep.
You want me to fit actual cobblestone and wood into this somehow? Well... guess there's that Sky Realm coming out soon that I can fit a few more different ideas into. Smooth industrial wood is something that I wouldn't object to if I can fit it in.
Well at the moment I got... 4 blocks I haven't messed with yet. I got the two giant mushrooms, the weird End Realm block, and the fungus ground. They aren't the best materials ever since you need silk touch to harvest them in survival mode. I could do a test with making the End Block look like a modern wood floor, just as a test and I could change it later if I get more blocks to work with. I'll also try cobblestone on the fungus block, I suppose. Just as a little test. Because honestly, I just have a few bugs to work out and finish the mobs and I'm done and waiting for 1.9 to come out.
I did some tests with some hard-wood floor textures, and I liked how they blended with the concretes. So it went well, I suppose. So hard-wood blocks will be inserted somehow in the future, hopefully.
Also, as a bonus:
That's what the interior of some village houses look like. It makes the villagers look a bit ridiculous with all those unnecessary monitors. Sort of looks futuristic, actually.
Awesome! Not so often you can meet good industrial pack. Keep it up.
P.S.
But when i saw the crafting table GUI, my brain just blown :blink.gif: Why so much contrast?
I know, it designed to look like a blueprint, but could you make it look not so sharp? :smile.gif:
Also, since hardwood blocks look so great with a lot of my test projects, I've decided to scrap the iron grid texture on sponge and make it hardwood. Still impossible to obtain in Survival, but hopefully I can change that in future Minecraft updates. I've also retextured The End block, Pigs, Ghast and pigmen. The moon issue is also gone now, and it looks pretty neat now. I still have a lot of mobs to do, but I have them all figured on my drawing board. My next release will be the last test before I'm comfortable with just releasing it.
1.9 pre-pre-pre-pre-pre release is out now or something, so I got a few more projects in mind now. Since the mushroom dirt is in the creative mode inventory now, I should plan a good texture to use for it. I'm open to suggestions since I'm just not sure at the moment what's a good industrial texture that would be good for city building that I don't already have.
I already figured that out, actually. You might as well just check for progress here until I'm done with this project, by the way.
Here's my Librarian, Priest, Blacksmith, Farmer, and Butcher villager skins. Robot society. I'm also releasing my final test pack tonight, so there's that.
NEARLY all mob textures done. Just have the fire mobs and Ender Dragon to finish. And I couldn't find a slime or wolf to test, so tell me if anything is odd about them if you come across one... along with anything else, of course. So I just need to improve this work and finish a few more things, and I'm done. Industrial Contour releases next week.
So far people got me on an issue with the Netherrack texture and the purple swamps. The rack I fixed and the swamp thing seems to be an irreversible consequence of the wasteland color scheme. Some people haven't minded it, and I think it looks really different and cool, so I might not try and fix a solution to it. Accidental concept gone right. Other than that, I may just end up releasing tomorrow if no one else has any issues or ideas.
It's a GREAT idea. I tried it. It's not really my thing, I am more into the realistic packs. BUT I loved the animals, I love the concept and I did enjoy the uniqueness of the whole endeavour. Well done. The "cyber cows" almost had me on the floor with laughter. When you have the finished product for download, I will give it another try just for a taste of something different every once in a while. I like what you have done so far, even if it isn't my normal genre of texture packs.

So now I'm finally at a rest point after all this work, and I hope the product is to everyone's liking. But I'm not nearly done yet... I'll update when Minecraft updates and continue to improve based on your comments. Also have a new trailer linked in my first post that's better than that outdated one, so good for me. And if Industrial Contour gets enough fans, I'll start a mod for it. I've got plenty of more ideas. For now, I'm satisfied with the result. More to come soon.

I'd say this is a bit more reasonable.

Yep, that's much better. Thanks! :smile.gif:

Here's a very nicely backlit test build I just completed of a modern styled building.

And Dimon, I just went and did that with a review on your page. E-mail me if you ever need any help with that project.
