I considered it. I might do it, but I might not use it. I don't really want to have to use MCPatcher myself so I didn't accomodate it in my pack, but I suppose it's nice to have that option. We'll see I suppose.
I don't see what it could hurt. If you use the patcher, people keep that extra little touch. If you don't use it, you still get the regular old default water/lava.

Very true. It might be a bit of time before I do it, cus I got a number of other projects on the drawing board, but I'll see if I can get to it. :wink.gif:
Great looking pack. My only qualm is the drastic lines in the grass. Looks like someone mowed the entire world. (Maybe if the shades weren't so different.)

Thanks a lot! :biggrin.gif:
The contrast in the grass was intentional. I understand that this might make it difficult to use for a fantasy maps, but I wanted my grass to have a unique, two-toned pattern, and while I have seen lined/"mowed" grass in texture packs before, it's usually done for the sake of simplicity, while mine still retains the detailed speckles and contrast to depict varying grass shades and blades. I also found that lessening the contrast diminished some of the dynamic texturing and coloring it provides with the addition of lighting, which is pretty much the biggest hook of the pack.
I did attempt a number of other grass textures, but none of them were nearly as good as the final one. So I'm afraid it's gonna stick. :tongue.gif:
Yeah, so I don't actually have the schematics, but if you'd like to see it for yourself, type Dewcraft.com as a server address in multiplayer and ask about the BioDome. :wink.gif:
Right now I'm working on custom water and lava, but the animation for them is getting really complicated. I'm not just gonna be using any ol' filter to make this, I'm actually spriting parts and layers of it to move around and animate. I'm not sure if I'm happy with either the water or the lava right now, but if I ever get them looking up-to-snuff, you'll be seeing it an update. :wink.gif:
I repeat, I would like/need the schematic. It's so cool. (at least the server's IP)
EDIT: found the IP at this post. (Haven't bought minecraft yet, so would still like the schematic. Will buy it (Minecraft, not the schematic :tongue.gif:) as soon as I get out of this cast on my left arm.)
No no no leave the glowstone! It's one of the coolest things about the pack!
But then, I suppose that's a good argument for getting the pack up on minecraftcustomizer. He wants the glowstone different, while I love it but was going to ask for more interesting glass (I prefer divided-lite windows). I love the colors in this one. All it needs is better glass.
Haha. Well rest assured, I have tried other glowstone textures that I've scrapped (should have saved them for curiosity's sake I guess, but oh well) and they all looked terrible until I made it a straight up lamp texture. I was thinking the spiral pattern would make it just weird enough to work in the nether. Whatever the case, if people keep telling me to keep this glowstone, I'm not gonna change it, cus I personally like it the way it is too. :tongue.gif:
As for the glass, I specifically made it to be as transparent as possible without being invisible. I left the middle of it clear, so you can see out it easily without white pixels in the way. I appreciate the advice, but I'll be sticking with the current glass. At least unless Notch starts allowing translucency like he does with the ice texture. :tongue.gif:
Why not just include a folder with alternate textures for people to install if they want? I've seen it done before, so why not here?
oh lol, sry. thought ur german. so i was asking, do u planed to change the gui stuff and tool textures?
Nope. This was mostly a pet project to be done on my own time for my own use, and I figured other people could use it as well. I don't really have the will or motivation to change any of the other graphics in Minecraft, so it's probably not gonna happen. ;p

well again, we don't have any schematics as far as I know. So you're out of luck. Again though, if you go to the server and ask about the Biodome you could have a look at it yourself. :wink.gif:

I get what you're saying, but the thing is, I don't really want to make any more textures for it. That, and if I start making customizable textures, then I'll have to make textures for every preference under the sun. I don't play Minecraft enough to warrant that kind of thing. Again, this was a pet project on my spare time that wasn't even going to be completed at one point, so chances are it's going to stay the way it is, not because I don't want to accommodate other tastes, but because I simply don't feel like making alternate textures at all. I'm sorry if this seems lazy of me. :sad.gif:
Pretty much the only changes I'll be making are ones that are required, I.E. textures for new updates, making things fit better (like the lightblock) or adding textures I had ommitted (water and lava).

Well different strokes for different folks. Thanks. :biggrin.gif:
I actually really love hearing you say that. Thanks! :biggrin.gif:
You'll usually find me in the General Off Topic section. Also quote when you reply so I can see!
Thanks man! :biggrin.gif:

He said these pictures were taken in a server.
Thanks! And no, I'm not planning on changing the weapons or items. Too lazy, and they look fine as is anywho. :tongue.gif:
