I have macbook pro, flame away if you must. And I've loaded texture packs by dragging in the the "minecraft" folder with the game and dragging the .zip into the "Mods and Texture packs" folder with success prior to update 1.8, that's including HD texture packs. I've been trying out different texture packs since updating to 1.8 like Finalcraft2 and Mortal Kombat packs to see how they look and I get "line" on tools and torches. They move with the item if swung or placed on the map. My question is am I doing something wrong? Are these packs not updating for 1.8? Or is it shotty work by the creators that are causing this issues? I'm not bashing these packs cause they look fantastic besides these errors.
Well I happen to use Winrar, but for a texture pack to work; the pack itself cannot be a winrar file. It HAS to be a winrar ARCHIVE file. Which is like the difference between a zip and a compressed folder, so make a back up and maybe mess around with that.

the marble one specifically and the pickaxe and shovel both have "lines" ???
