JoliExtensions Because Everything's Better With Swirls!
This is an extension of the work by andre_joliceour, the creator of JoliCraft. This pack adds support for various mods... Well one mod for now: Equivalent Exchange.
This pack is meant to work in conjuction with Jolicraft, not as a standalone pack. Though you could certainly do so. Please note, Jolicraft already supports the Aether so there will never be a JoliExtension for this mod.
Installation Instructions or "How Do I Get This to Bloody Well Work?!"
1. Extract the zip file
2. Open your Texture Pack directory via Minecraft
3. Close Minecraft
4. Open your texture pack zip file
5. Add the folder eqex to the root of your texture pack zip file
6. Enjoy!
If there's alot of confusion on how to install this pack I may do a more detailed tutorial (with pictures and everything!), but hopefully this'll work for now.
Version History or "You Changed What?!"
· 1.01 - Equivalent Exchange v4.06 fixed alchemical chest texture names. Renamed front and side textures to match. Now there's only one face instead of three :wink.gif: · 1.0 - JoliExtensions released. Equivalent Exchange v4.06 support for all GUIs and placeable blocks. No item sprites have been updated.
Roadmap or "What's the Future Hold?"
Equivalent Exchange has been updated quite a bit lately. As such the immediate plans are to support the new Transmutation Table and add more Joli-fied item sprites. Already have a bunch of ideas to better unify Jolicraft and EE.
After that, the next mod I'm going to Jolify will be either Better Than Wolves or Industrial Craft, depending on which is updated first. I'm more interested in doing Better Than Wolves though.
I was going to do a texture pack addition for BuildCraft, but the latest update hasn't inspired me creatively. I'm not judging on the mod, I just don't have any ideas at the moment for the new pipe system, energy system, or refinery systems. As such it's on the back burner.
If I'm not too busy I'll install and play with Millenaire and see if I enjoy it. I did enjoy Age of Discovery (the game it's based on), but I was never overly interested in infrastructure management in Minecraft (beyond building the structures for my peeps, which Millenaire doesn't let me do the last I checked on it). If I do find the mod fun then I'll see if I can con Drewbie into working with me on player skins (Or just using his skins). However, this is all 'Pie in the Sky' at the moment so don't hold me to it :wink.gif:
If there are any other mods you'd like to see supported post about it. If I find it fun I may be inspired. You never know :smile.gif:

you can NEVER get too much jolicraft :biggrin.gif: i hope you do better than wolves, I think you mentioned that on the main joli thread :biggrin.gif:
I plan to do BetterThanWolves, but I'm probably going to hold off until they update BTW to Minecraft 1.8/1.9/1/10 (whichever becomes the next release).
i used to use jolicraft all the time but when it came to using mods with jolicraft, it just wasnt the same so i had to use SMP. but since youre doing this, it might re-ignite my spark for jolicraft. Diamonds to you sir for taking the time for doing this. and while youre at it, could you do textures of risugami's mods?(Shelves, arrows and such) it would be really appreciated!

Unfortunately the only Risugami mod that can be retextured are the arrows. Everything else (shelves, armor stand, etc) use the default textures so they should already have Jolicraft variations of those default textures applied. Since the arrows already look very similar to Jolicraft arrows I don't think I'll be doing a texture pack for 'em. :mellow.gif:
On another note, I'm going to work on the item sprites for Equivalent Exchange next. I have some ideas now that would make the items a little more JoliEsque. More spirals anyone?
Are you planning to do textures for Millenaire? It'd be nice to have a 16x pack that's compatible with the mod.
Never actually played the Millenaire mod actually so at the moment, no. However, there is a guy named Drewbie who did maybe 6 or 7 player skins in the style of Jolicraft that one could probably apply to the millenaire mod easily. Here's a link to his thread. Drewbie's Skin Pack
If there is alot of interest in doing Millenaire I may try contacting Drewbie and do a combo pack with him using his skins and my blocks or something.
Here's something fun for everyone. I did the SkyBlock Survival map using EE! The challenge is building the philosopher's stone and then getting enough materials for that first glowstone aggregator or obsidian aggregator.
I did have to hack in a stack of eggs to I could spawn my first chicken. 1.8 and it's humped over animal mob spawning :sad.gif: The only other thing I did was hack in cobble stone. I just didn't feel like spending hours in front of a cobble stone generator holding down my mouse button. If anyone knows a design for a high volume cobble stone generator I'm game!
Anyone who wants to give it a try, here's the thread to the map: Skyblock Survival
So far I've got 1 DM Furnace, 48 Glowstone aggs, 24 Obsidian Aggs, and 4 Alchemical chests. Oh, and 1 Talisman of Repair.
The far away platform is the mob spawner. I built it that way so I could lure out the Enderman without blowing up my island (Skeletons like to shoot creepers).
This is really very cool. I have been looking for a while for a texturepack that offers EE suport. Way to make my dream come true, as it were. Support for IC2 and build craft also gets me juiced.
Well shoot. Judging by the vote it looks like the majority really wants some Buildcraft pipe and engine textures next. And here I was getting ready for IndustrialCraft 2 stuff. LOL. Understandable. Buildcraft pipes are butt-ugly.
I have some ideas for the generic pipes. One being bloody arrows on the exit and entrance parts so you can tell what goes where and what's one way, etc.
I'm open to suggestions for the engines and new liquid pipes. My thoughts on the engines are to integrate the look of Jolicraft pistons. The stone engine in particular is well suited to jolicraft piston inspired design. Perhaps the redstone engine could have some swirly goodness... anyways. I've some ideas there, but I'd love to hear from you guys.
Oh, and I've almost zero ideas for the new energy pipes. I find the default energy pipes a visual mess so my main thought is simplify the buggers. Jolicraft is a very minimal texture pack design. Maybe make them look like an iron pipe with a pulsing magic light on the side?

There was no option to vote for both. So im just gonna say do both !
You are doing nice.

LOL. Just look at the EE thread. He allowed multiple choice so nearly everyone chose everything :wink.gif:
That said, doing the basic ores and tree stuff for IC2 and Pipes for BC as a single release seems do able. There's a VERY large TODO list for each if I'm to do everything. I also still need to do the new Transmutation table for EE and the Dark Matter armor... which will probably be a darkened version of the gold armor from Jolicraft to be honest.
Oh, and Bronze armor from IC2 could be a Bronze colored version of the Jolicraft Iron armor. Yeah... Bronze faceplate instead of an Iron one. I like that!
Anyways, thanks for encouragement! Always helps get my lazy butt working on some more textures :smile.gif:
I tackled a few Equivalent Exchange items while I was having trouble getting BuildCraft pipes to look like Jolicraft and this is the result. I give to you the pimped out Dark Matter Armor, glasses and all!
This is a mixture of Jolicraft Gold and Diamond Armor retextured to use the purple swirls I added to distinguish Alchemy devices from vanila Minecraft. Ok, so I just thought uber powered stuff that's purple would be totally Jolicraft style.
I plan to have a release tomorrow with the new armor, transmutation table (block and GUI), and a few EE items updated. After that I'll work on BC pipes more. There's a butt-load of 'em.

I definately plan to do the pipes for BuildCraft. They've always bothered me. But I'm going to wait for a more stable 1.8 release.
IndustrialCraft I plan to do the Ores and Trees once it's 1.8 compatible as well.
