"Between sharkf1n and i, we have plans to make both some texture packs and in the near future a metroid prime themed modpack. This modpack plans to contain new entities which will be constantly updated with more and more starting with metroids, new blocks eg Phason and more!

So basically we are from scratch making a metroid prime texture pack based on most games. When completed, we will create a Modpack and eventually one huge Modpack consisting of ours texture pack, mods, and soul117eater's sounds. So guys hang on, we are working on doing as much as possible to get it finished soon.
PLEASE NOTE: "Also I'd like to announce that the texture pack and mod may take a quite bit longer, due to janmebows' computer crashing and breaking. He will not have a computer until around December this year. Also i lost a bit of work i did on the texture pack from my usb being lost! But i will continue to do work. =) I am planning on doing a pre-release soon."
ALSO any ideas are welcome and needed! Here are some screenshots on progress so far:
Hey guys, thanks for everyone supporting us, so for a big thanks i am posting some screenshots of the sort of Alpha stage of the pack. This basically means we are still texturing some blocks etc. but once we finish we will revise and really touch up/improve the pack. Enjoy!
Start up screen!! :biggrin.gif: thanks to wertazer66 and I plan on changing the background images to ones of the nether, which will look like phazon mines.
One of the first mob skins I have done, the ghast. I textured it as THIS METROID.
And the ghast when it fires: (it may not be all that true to the game currently, but if u have any ideas they are appreciates)

OK, now the main terrain.png. Most Stuff I have done is from scratch, and soon I will work on the things that relate to in game. Part of this pack is to just look good as well as have metroid prime refrences. Also I am still working on tree bark. Please note I will be making all wool look like the red except in their respective colours. i know it seems as if I haven't done that much, but there is quite a lot of stuff that janebows has on his broken computer's harddrive, and also I am quite occupied with skin requests, school and the server I am an operator on. If you want me to e-mail you the progress so far then please comment and then pm ur email.
Please note we completed torches without the flame effect but it is on janmebows' hard drive.
We plan on keeping all tools the same except swords, which are too on janmebows' hard drive. We are slowly getting there though! Also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE any suggestions are SO helpful :biggrin.gif:

Looks pretty good so far, I really like the ghast and the armor textures, however I feel that most of the nature textures don't feel too "metroid-y" if you know what I mean, they are more just a different texture than something that is destiguishable as from metroid.

PArt of this pack (if you had read all the info) is to be smooth and look good, and for main blocks to be distinguishable but dark themed, as Metroid Prime has very dark textures. Some things eg. Stone were actually taken straight from the game, but then made to look good. Another thing to mention is the Mods. The texture pack is being made to fit with the mods, and the mods will bring in actual elements to minecraft. Please note we are yet to do main metroid prime blocks. Any information i missed can be found HERE.
EDIT: also forgot to mention almost all the blocks I have done are the ones that aren't relevant to the game, so when I actually do metroid blocks, it will definently look better.
And, PLEASE if you have any suggestions, please tell them!
Sweet, thanks! We'll edit it a little so it's not entirely the same and we'll make planks of our own design (based on the edited wood), of course. In return, you can use the font we made, although I'd like to ask to also edit it a bit so we don't use exactly the same stuff. :smile.gif:

I have decided to start on some block textures and I am going to make it multiple packs of 32x to 256x >:biggrin.gif:
I already have the endstone for all of them, the Mob spawners, and sandstone and glowstone textures for the 32x (all in the course of a total of 48 hours of compiling, editing, and copy-pasting different textures from screenshots and renders from a metroid prime wiki) o_o
P.S. I also have the skyrim red/blue-ish dragon texture and I am going to alternate it into a custom dragon skin for myself or others. :biggrin.gif:
P.S.S. I also plan on making the enderdragon be meta-ridley, and the endermen can be chozo ghosts :biggrin.gif:
EPIC! Try playing Metroid Prime Hunters, for the Nintendo DS, it has more playable characters in multiplayer, it should give you inspiration for weapons.
