I'm making my own texture for the stems of the melons and the pumpkins in my personal 16x texture pack. For some reason, no texture shows up for the first few stages of the stem growth (for example when I plant it and when it grows "once", etc) and I don't know how to remedy it. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Am I missing a texture? Are my stalks not tall enough?


Here is a blown up picture of the stalks.

The top stem is 10x10 and the second is 12x tall and 15x wide if this is any helpful sort of information.

It goes up through the stages row by row, pixel by pixel. If you don't go all the way to the top, the first few rows will show up as nothing.
