Okay final word on Sonic 2,3, & Knuckles textures.
For Sonic 2 it seems they upgraded their eye for detail and made larger terrain sprites.
So no go for 16x tile set.
BUT!
I can probably get them to work as 32x.
Not going to do it in any cohesive way, I'll just randomly do one or two levels for an update.
Think I'll try doing Desert Palace race level from Sonic 3 for the next update.
Which is definitely coming soon probably.
Just have to remember how much new stuff I've actually done since last update.
And some of the texture sets on the site I get my references from for Sonic 2 are either lacking or in a .zip folder as seperate images which is a pain in the ass to work from. So most of the main stages from 2 are a no go.
So I started digging at the Desert Palace textures, turns out the race levels in Sonic 3 are low detail like the stages from Sonic 1.
lol.
Anyway, to have a point to this post, changing how I do the sonic textures. I've seperated the Sonic 1 tiles into seperate images for each stage. I'll do that for all the other stages that have enough textures for me to get at least 15 block textures for. Those that don't have that much variety I'll just put as seperate tiles in the main "blocks" folder. For example, I took the texture of the wood poles in Mystic Cave Zone and put it along with 3 recolors for the wood types in the main folder as one image.
Did that make any sense?
Anyway, setting the next update for next Thursday. Not to many blocks or items that I can immediately think of, but there's a whole load of skins.
I apologize for lack of anything on any of my TPs for like a month, but life has sucked.
And I've been unispired.
And I've kinda been binging on Fire Emblem in preparation for the new game.
And I just got Kid Icarus Uprising.
And I've refound my lost interest in Animal Crossing. THOUSANDS OF COLLECTIBLE ITEMS FOR THE WIN
So.. yeah, haven't really been able to think of anything new to make for the pack. And there really hasn't been anything new added to the game for me to make any textures for my NES packs.
I hate to admit it, but I WANT a big ginormous update with loads of items/blocks/mobs/ whatever so I can get the brain cogs turning.
I even tried coming up with something for the MLP design a pony contest.
Not even the prospect of going to Comic-Con and having everyone I know hate my guts could get the creativity flowing.
So with some of the new stuff that's going to be in the next snapshot, I'm mildly inspired artistically again.
Gonna try and do a couple of those Binding of Isaac mob skins I mentioned before, maybe some Zelda themed stuff.
Probably going to be several rupee textures for the coin (which is probably rubies, puns ftw!) and maybe some Kid Icarus themed stuff if I can think of anything.
Will have some screenshots maybe tomorrow after the snapshot is released and I know what's new.
Decided against Rupee textures for emeralds. Since everyone and their grandmother will probably do something like that.
I'm open for suggestions for items from different games that can be used as emeralds.
Going to work on some villager skins based on Legend of Zelda The Minish Cap. And since that Zelda's art style was in the style of Wind Waker maybe some mob skins from Minish and Waker.
Also made some chest textures that are based on the one from my NES Zelda pack but recolored to look like the different wood.
Maybe some other chest textures will be in the next update.
I'll probably think of a date today, hopefully my internet won't get disconnected before then
Think I'm going to add a new poll.
And since I got Minecraft working at a decent frame rate again, expect screenshots soon!
It sure is lonely in this thread
Edit: so, the new snapshot kinda made the game unplayable for me. lol, no screenshots today.
I have a whole lot of new stuff (I think... can't remember what was in the last update) just had so much [email protected]$# happening in my life.
Got some stuff for the new stuff being added for 1.4 done, I'm gonna try and get an update up before Oct. 31.
Also, slpitting the player skins into a seperate download. So there aren't as many folders.
Also thinking of adding all the mob textures from my NES Mario and Zelda packs to this.
I don't know anymore, I'm starting too feel like most of this is crap since the majority of textures are just copy/pasted from a tile sheet or something from different games.
The only stuff aside from a couple of block textures I've truly put any effort into are the player and mob skins.
Thinking that I'll just take out anything that wasn't mostly designed by myself and re-launch it as primarily a skin pack.

Coming soon: Nintendo World Resource Pack
Got several 32x Fire Emblem swords from Radiant Dawn, 32x sword and axe from the GBA games in several colors, and over 50 Fire Emblem skins.
Aside from that there are a few 16x and 32x Sonic 2 and 3 block textures, and some Kirby stuff.
Full rundown tomorrow.
Gonna try and have a few screenshots. Maybe.
Coming soon: Nintendo World Resource Pack
The first 2 people to correctly guess what alt colors 4-9 of the General Sword and Warrior Axe are based on will get a request for the next update.

But everything already in this from the Gameboy games will stay.
