In the next version I'm going to have the 2 size folders divided into subcategories.
The first is the "blocks" folder, it will have all the textures that need to be placed in the terrain.png inside.
Second is the "mob" folder, which will be further divided into a folder for each mob skin. For them to work properly you will need to rename the one you want to use to the name of the folder it's in. Each mob skin will henceforth be named after what it is based on.
Any other sub-folders will be named the same as the corresponding folder for a TP. The exceptions will be items, paintings, and armors. The first 2 be arranged similarly to "blocks" and the last similar to "mob".
Just so no one is confused whenever I update next.
EDIT: also going to provide a link to a tutorial on making a TP in the OP sometime this week.
Hopefully I'll get around to it before Tues, then I'll be playing Dark Souls non-stop.
Here is a (crappy) screenshot of the "WTF" Enderman that has been in since V.1, I upped it 32x and will screw around with the body markings and eyes a bit before V.3.
And a new one I made. It's a creeper, no, I do not have the slightest clue what it is. But it looks cool. Also 32x. You might need to squint or adjust your screen position to see the body markings.
Guess I'll try and think of a few items while I'm at it. Got another 32x block image I'll post later.
Okay I need some suggestions on how I could potentially make Mr. Bright look different for different phases of the moon.
Without making a new sprite for him where he looks like the different phases.
Right now there are 3 16x mob skins, a skin for villagers that removes the noses, a painting that will work with 16x and 32x, 2 32x mob skins, and six 32x textures for glowstone.
Any suggestions at all? Blocks, mobs, items... hell, I'd take a suggestion for a custom minecart I'm so bored.
Update: I'm tired, I'm probably going to pass out after I post this. I'll update tomorrow or Tuesday. More time for suggestions. There are a few items that will be in the 16x folder that are wip currently, I don't know if I should keep them 8-bit style or add detail to them. When I put up V.3 give me some opinions. Oh and more cloth blocks, I love cloth blocks. Losing. Consious-
Okay here is what I currently have for the eventual next version.
More pony blocks! (I'm sorry)
32x sword based on the sword used by Generals from the GBA Fire Emblem games in their battle sprites. Only one version, if you want you can change it to different colors so you can use it for all the swords.
I'm going to add in all my Fire Emblem skins. There are about a dozen right now.
This last item is something I'm probably not going to very often. I'm going to make a near complete texture set for all blocks based on the tiles in the GBA Fire Emblem games. Nothing except the blocks is getting skinned.
I'm also going to finish coloring in all those cloth blocks for Zelda 1. I just haven't felt like it since it's kinda boring.
That's all I have right now, i haven't really been feeling very artistic lately, and I need to give a bit more love to my Mario TP. I'll maybe have some preliminary screenshots of those FE textures within a week or so.
Too many textures that I need that I would have to edit from the default textures in the FE games but can't because the textures have to much noise in them for me to replicate/work around.
Give me some other games from SNES or GBA that maybe I can do a texture set for.
I'll put them in a poll and see if any one votes, if not I'll just pick the one I like.
The next update will come, if everything goes well, the first week of 2012!
It will have at the very least the starting point of a terrain set for Metroid Fusion, and some other things that I though of in the last week.
More Ponies!
Better Idea!
How about I just make big tile sheets based on different games? Then you can use them for whatever blocks you want!
And it won't look weird if I don't have something for all the blocks.
I've started on a tile set for Metroid Fusion. There aren't really many blocks in it since there aren't but a few environments on the sprite websites I use, but there are a few. There are 2 sets of similar doors that I'll post later in the week probably when I finish the second set and I want you to tell me which look better, if need be I'll get in-game screenshots. I've also got a set of sprites of the Chaos Emeralds from one of the Genesis Sonic games you can use for whatever in the items png.
There will be a bunch of skins in the next version and some 16x and 32x weapons for you all to use.
Version 4 will come sometime around the beginning of January.
Suggest some other games I can make a tile set for. I'm thinking of a Sonic one with blocks based on environments from Sonic 1, 2, 3, CD, and Knuckles. Sound good to anyone?
Okay I've decided that I'll put both versions of door in the Metroid Fusion tile set.
There are 6 different colors of both versions, and a 3rd version with 2 variants.
Update will be within the next week, whenever i get my lazy bum around to finishing those NES Zelda blocks I keep putting off.
Besides PONIES, the Fusion tiles, 50+ skins, and god knows what else I can't remember it's also going to have the beginnings of a Genesis Era Sonic the Hedgehog tile set.
It will have block textures from Green Hill Zone and maybe Marble Zone from Sonic 1.
P.S. I'm taking out the "screenshots" folder, because there just not enough screenshots in there to warrant it staying. Besides all of the ones there are already in the OP.
If I ever feel like taking more screenshots for this stuff I might put it back in.
This is a big maybe, since I've been putting it off since October, but there might be a Enderdragon skin based on Valoo from The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker. Don't get your hopes up though.
I'll see if I feel like getting some screenshots of some of the stuff that's lacking over the weekend.
All depends on if I want to wrassle with Minecraft and if it wants to be slow.
Ok....either you have no life......or you are incredibly awesome. I think we'll stick to option #2. THIS IS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

It's kinda both, but more of the first because, DUDE! I MADE 58 SKINS FOR MINECRAFT!!! Sure most of those are the same skin just with a different color scheme, but in the games they're from they're different characters sooooo...
And there are dozens more skins to come!
I have even less life now that my PS3 is dead. Loads of free time! WHOO!

Can't think of anything to make.
Give me some suggestions all 5 of you who care about this.

The only new stuff I have are a bunch of alternate textures from my Zelda pack and more Pony blocks, and I know not everyone is into Ponies.
I could add the skins I've made into the pack, bunch of NES and Fire Emblem skins, what does anyone think about that?
Oh and I have a new 32x sword I'm working on, got the sprite done, just need to make different versions for the different materials.
But in all seriousness, I need suggestions.
