Helloooooooooooooooo Minecrafters! Today I present to you Seeing Double, a 2x2 texture pack, for the all-awesome 1.8.1 Adventure Update! Well, I say 2x2, but I do take a few shortcuts on things like rails, ladders, mobs, and a few regular blocks that just don't well with 2x2. However, the majority of blocks are 2x2! See for yourself!
Epic leaf bridge! Now in high-def 2x2 cubes!
Chests, beds, torches, and more! All improved by Double Vision!
Ladders, doors, furnaces, and over in the top-right corner below the torch, a crafting table.
Ahhh... A warm fire on a cold night.
Minecart rails: Sadly, not in 2x2
Can YOU distinguish which ore is which? I doubt you can. It's the world's most difficult mental challenge.
Mr. Spider seems to be adjusting well to 2x2, except for his face...
This one speaks for itself.
Gotta love 1.8 world generation. Yes, I live in a shelled-out mountain.
Glass: Still fairly useful, even with 1/4 of it blocked.
Ah, the beauty of Minecraft...
So, are you interested? Intrigued? Drooling? Saying "meh, it's fairly interesting," or otherwise wanting to try out Double Vision? Well, you can! Just go to the download link here! http://www.mediafire.com/?auc7ymkjq84thk2
Currently, this is version 1.0! My goal of editing terrain.png and mobs is accomplished! My current goal for this pack is now reskining items, but in 4x4 so you can have a chance of telling what they are. This release of Double Vision has about a tenth of the items reskinned, but as I was just going in rows down the .png file, I haven't changed any tools yet. Anyways, enjoy!
P.S., I realize dirt and grass end up looking like Green Hill Zone. I did not intend this, and only noticed it once I started testing the pack. Regardless, Sonic fans will have a good time.
Yes, I do. It has a unique feel that you don't really see elsewhere. You might want to at least try it out, the pictures might not show off how it really feels.
It's an interesting design, though I don't think it's true 2x2 based on the bed end texture being 1 normal pixel off, the gap around the cake being 1 normal pixel and the top of the glass pane being default. Nice concept though!
This isn't even real 2x, it's 16x recolored to look 2x. Fix the title. Unless the terrain.png is 1/8 of the regular size, it won't be 2x, and it won't help preformance.

This. It's still 16x, so you're getting a completely ugly texture pack with the same performance as a normal 16x pack. Also you can't actually -do- 2x. You can do 1, or 4. Not 2.

Java is bulky, slow, hogs resources, passes out from exhaustion, and although it was big in the 90's is now typically only found on poorly designed websites. Much like Harry Knowles. So any time Minecraft crashes, blame Java.

There's been a 1x1 texture pack before, you know. I believe it was called SimpleCraft, but I may be wrong.
