This texture pack/modification changes the wool blocks into lapis blocks of the corresponding color, making colored gem looking blocks. These can be used to make fancy sculptures with a "shiny" look. Please let me know if you would like to use this for yourself, and I can add a link to it. Thanks. (pics below)

Well, it is just a copy-and-paste recolor of the default textures, but it's an alright idea. Even if the Lapis Block is one of the ugliest blocks in MC. e_e

Personally, I love the lapis block. And that's true, it's not hard to make. This was meant for a personal use, but I decided someone else might like it.
You've got to think outside of just being a texture pack, if someone is making a Machinima or is doing a big build, small adjustments like this make the difference.
Exactly, just for making a single build usually, so you can make it look good in a video/picture.
Sorry I didn't respond. Changed it a TON of blocks, and it looks stupid as a "normal" texure pack, but if you're just making a sculpture it can look cool. Below is the terrain.png. I'm not done yet... I eventually might make stone shiny (eventually as in today if I do), and some other stuff if I think of it.
EDIT: @rahwen, I'll try to get around to that today. Np.

Ps: how do I give a direct download link, not one through mediafire or something else?
