So I decided to make my own texture pack, sort of as a test of my skillz with a digital paintbrush, and to improve those skills. As of right now, I'm not sure if it is worth continuing. What I need is an outsiders opinion(s) on the 5 blocks I have done now.

I will finish it eventually, but if I have other people that approve and want me to continue, I'll speed up the process. The mobs will probably take me the longest. :/

The planks look the best, I say you keep going.

the dirt and grass are pretty good, but the wood planks need less contrast and less saturation and the smoothstone needs less contrast too.

So I took your guy's advice and toned down the saturation and contrast on the planks (I think they look a lot better now.) and the contrast on the stone. I also did the ores, cobblestone, and glowstone.
