Yeah, this really is incredibly easy to do without any mods.
I found out how to make custom textures, do this, change how the sun and moon looks, and some more stuff i don't feel like naming by MYSELF. Its pretty easy. Just mess around with the minecraft.jar
I hate people who do that... Making the blur into transparent green or blue does not make you see in the dark. Your just a dumb kid and it reminds you of films where nightvision goggles are green, you see that when you put the pumpkin on even though it is now actually harder to see in the dark and say 'OMG NOW I CAN SEE IN THE DARK!!!' Please stop sharing your useless idea.

Maybe he (like many people) have quite a few texture packs and would rather add 1 class file to his jar to stop the pumpkin blur, rather than edit every texture pack he likes the look of and wants to use... With that in mind, this mod is clearly pretty useful and time saving.

Not only could you change the texture, but you could use an ender pearl/third person with pumpkin/look at endermen anyway because they are easy to kill/ignore the blurryness which really doesn't get in the way too much anyway/ use f1
