- IMO this is the best choice for a creeper. 1st - they are armless. 2nd - similar attack with a creeper: these ones spay acids, while creepers explode [theoretically] like if they were full of acids. 3 - if I'm not wrong, they didn't make any sounds, except maybe some scuffling steps when they are close - just like creepers do.
I'd propose another 4 candidates for a witch: Dahlia, Claudia, Incubator (rather risky and original idea, but this may shoot too) and Cynthia as a ghost (this would be scary as hell+++).
fist one is not the best exsample.
second from silent hill 2
the Lying Figure make quiet a bit of sound "and I don't mean the radio sounds" :-p, and they spray liquid at you, ether acid or something else.
figured since witchs use an potion they throw at you it would be the most simular.
and they spray liquid at you, ether acid or something else.
- oh, you showed me that movie scene, and it just proved myself how visually similar the figure and creper are. In movie he spits (honestly I don't like SH movies, they break all canons and common sense) and in SH2 he breath with something poisonous. I think that this is just a formality. We can "forget" that he breath acids, instead he will [allegedly] explode with acids. If we have on the scales the spirit of the monster and his secondary details, I choose the 1st one.
figured since witchs use an potion they throw at you it would be the most simular.
- but figure is armless. I guess it would be better if the spitter will expole rather than armless dude will throw anything
But I rethought those 4 candidates I mentioned and changed my opinion a little. If you will make different models for villagers, Dahlia would fit for a librarian, while Klaudia will be a good priest. Thus Cynthia IMO will have the most hellish look as a witch. Dealing with her was rather challenging ingame.

I can make Witchs armless also, just don't have to include the texture for there arms.
One more argument. How often can you see a witch in survival? Yep, extremely rare. Much more rare than an Enderman. I personally consider her as a mini-boss (heh, she can stand in lava and don't die). Thus, I think that she deserves some rare and special model. Figure is too simple for such rare mob, while very suitable for numerous creepers.
Anyway, you don't lose anything, since the question is only who will wear the suit of a Figure in the pack. I'm sure that a creeper as a Figure worth at least a try.

I don't know I sort of wanted to make them look like Grey Children.
yes i know this is the Silent Hill Movie, but the monsters are interesting. ;-)

- I remember Gray Children from the game. You know what is the most hilarious thing? I know that Gray Children were banned in European and Japanese version due to censure bla-bla-bla, and were replaced with Mumblers, but somehow I find Mumblers even much more creepy. Damn, these little dudes can really scare the hell out. I remember how I was hesistating to enter another room in the school, expecting that these stumps will grip me in the corner again.
So, what I mean, since we have zombie children in MC, I think that the most evident candidate for mumblers/grey children are exactly zombie children. You said that you can remove parts from the model (in particular hands from the witch), so maybe it is possible to remove kids' heads... and they even behave in the same way: running at you with their hands forward.
Creepers as Gray Children you say? Hm, I didnt consider such option. So don't even know. Creepers are armless, while Mumblers and GC not, beside, if I'm not wrong GC even had some melee weapons (knives or daggers). Sort of it was an idea, that they clamp you in the corner, grabbing you legs with long claw hands and moaning... just like zombie children can.

well the Zombie skin / texture is used for the zombie children also, so if I make the children headless, the normal zombies will be headless also. :-p

- damn, I didn't know. So zombie child doesn't have separate model, like zombie villager? That's bad. And no separate model for children villagers as well, right?

Hello, can I modify a bit this resource pack for the horror map I'm making (because it need custom mobs and sounds), you will recieve all the credit, obviously.

Sure it's ok if you link back to here, so if someone would like to download the original texture/resource pack they can.
P.S. Please let me know when your done your map also, I'd like to have a look at it. =D
Holy tits! Those white blocks on the 2nd image... That's something I'd like to suggest and really wanted to see for my medieval houses as shabby walls. Is that a standard hardened clay?
But I'm not sure about white cauldrons. Being white, they will lose their universality: you can't put them on the castle walls (let's pretend they contain boiling oil) and they won't fit for the witch huts and... khem, currently I'm testing something like an alchemic laboratory and I have cauldrons with fire under them... I'm afraid that my laboratory will turn into washhouse
Is a mirror attached to the cauldron? Universality again... But idea to add a mirror itself is great. I'd suggest to make a separate block with a mirror (maybe even cracked mirror), or to bring a mirror instead of one painting (which would be even better, because you can hang it anywhere in such case). Mirrors will be a great item for horror haunted houses.
[sorry for the late answer]
Now that's much better. I guess only that white frame on the top of the cauldron must be recolored.
If mirrors are already paintings, that's also good. I'd only suggest to make so, that the mirror takes the whole space of the painting so that you can get not only 1x1 mirror, but also 2x2, 4x4, 16x16 or any other size mirror by combining them. Thus they will fit any environment (stone, wood, etc). Such feature will look very good for huge halls with giant mirrors which take the whole wall for example (let's remember old vampire movies )
Got a question about sandstone. You are planning to stay with the current one or there will be more changes in the nearest future? I mean the color spectrum. I've freezed my mass sandstone projects some time ago, now it's again important for me coz I'm planning to continue that building. If these ones will stay, I'd like to share one interesting observation and make some small suggestions.
im not 100% sure your using random mobs in this texture pack but I see what you mean by gray children and all... couldn't you add a gray child to a zombie texture, maybe some sound files to the hordes? grey children and such?.
I never really played the games but ive watched people play it... very interesting.
besides the point, creepers could have a bone like structure for their ribcage like the "armless man" in the silent hill movie. maybe even add a disfigured mouth with no eyes to accompany for the fact that it is supposed to spit an acidic material... and when they are killed im not sure if there is a small explosion or not but it would make the most sense yes?
OVERALL:
random mobs for the zombies including gray child textures?
creeper --> "armless man" monster from the silent hill movie?
