IMO the sound is too sharp and ringing for a stone. This sound would fit more for breaking iron doors, iron blocks, furnaces, dispensers, cauldrons, etc.
Sounds for portal and zombies is a 100% hit. BTW, since we got zombie children, can we expect to see in the pack those scary children from SH1 school?
Looking forward for the original door sounds from SH, as well as that "clicking" for closed doors.

Very great texture pack, loving it so far Would you mind if I used this texture pack to go with an adventure map? I may not even put it up on forums, probably will just use for personal use but I figured I'd ask anyways

besides this i chose to just go with default, since I can't get it work work the way I need it to,
since the mining of Block comes from 2 different sets of sounds.

thats not always true, if you have played Silent Hill 1. Harry gets the Flauros and uses it later on in the game.
But compas is too ordinary item to change it so radically. Such conversions would fit more to such unique items as ender pearls/eyes, nether star... maybe ghast tears, etc. Something which can be more or less called artifact (like Flauros). BTW, would be nice to give some potions Aglaophotis vile texture.

Woah, so many changes. My own medieval castle now looks so grim, that I fear to enter it I guess it will take me some time to estimate all improvements and form an opinion. Just wanted to mention good idea with hardened clays (especially the red one, which is irreplaceble for castles), new sounds and new nurses. I guess that after these chicks got such a detailed makeup, other mobs (such as creepers and skeletons) just howl for some improvements.

yeah cool thing about the rug is,
you can make it as big as you like with the right parts, and it will be seamless. ;-)

- IMO this is the best choice for a creeper. 1st - they are armless. 2nd - similar attack with a creeper: these ones spay acids, while creepers explode [theoretically] like if they were full of acids. 3 - if I'm not wrong, they didn't make any sounds, except maybe some scuffling steps when they are close - just like creepers do.
I'd propose another 4 candidates for a witch: Dahlia, Claudia, Incubator (rather risky and original idea, but this may shoot too) and Cynthia as a ghost (this would be scary as hell+++).
