Here are only 2 types of sandstone, right? Chiseled and common? Can you show us a daytime image with sandstone and few stone blocks (to see the contrast).
And what did you mean, saying "trap block"? You meant trap door? It looks more like a dispenser for me...
As to the furnace... If it's possible, I'd like to see image where it is among cobblestone blocks (something like those improvised rooms you did before). I like it's main texture, but currently don't know about the purpose of those pipes... maybe it just needs rusty edging. That's why I want to see it near cobble blocks in order to form clearer opinion.
And one more thing. In your current version dispenser's sides have a chiseled stone brick texture. I had an idea to use this feature for a cunning substitution of rare chiseled stone brick in survival... Well, it's not critical, but I'd like to know if such conception will be retained. Guess not, if that new block is actually a dispenser, right?
The 256x one aint working. When I put it in the texturepacks folder and select it, nothing changes. I try and unarchive it, and it doesn't work. There is something wrong with the zip file but I have no idea what. I've tried opening it with so many things (winrar, keka, etc...) but it is constantly telling me the zip is damaged. I'd really like to try the 256x version of this pack out! Please help!

you don't unzip the file you put it in the texture pack folder, and then select it in minecraft.
I did say that I already tried it, and nothing worked. I apologize if I wasn't clear enough.
well when you try to select it, it takes around 10-25+ secs depending on your pc specs, if your trying to run the 256x version for it to load,
try again maybe?

what are your pc specs?
I'm not sure what pc specs are. I'm running on a mac.
Maybe I should try downloading the file again.
Oh, by the way, this texturepack looks amazing!
Minecraft 1.5 is officially out, I'l hard at work and will update Silent Hill Texture Pack 1.5 a.s.a.p.
it'll take alittle time since I have so many things I have to do to make it all work like with the changes to:
Texture packs now have separate images for each block and item.
also updated Mobs to have better detail on Zombies, and Villagers.
everything should get updated by next weekend I'll keep everyone posted!

Master of darkness and light, bound to no element, this entity is ruthless, cruel, but fair, when he looks at you he sees your whole soul, and if your heart is tipped to the darkness, or to the light, run, and hope he doesn't think you're worthy....
Hello. I've spent some time testing new improvements and watching how my builds changed in 1.5.1.
First about good things.
Good to see that different models for weapons are back again.
As to the End stone, I was thinking that it needs new model and here you comes with new fantastic texture.
The same is with the quarts blocks - great models. And quarts ore too.
It was rather hardily decision to change the brick texture as you did, but new model looks rather original and I find it very pertinently here.
I also like the new stone and stone brick. Everything: cracked, mossy, chiseled. Very good.
New scull model for an ender pearl is also good.
I was also glad to see that the game finally gets chains (I even think that such thing should be added by developers themselves). But. There is 2 "buts". First of all, now all swamp and tropical trees have chains, which is not good. And besides, by replacing the vines by chains, we lose very important decoration item. Vines are very important for making structures ancient and abandoned. We can not lose them. How to be? I got a solution. You've already done a hole (from SH 4) instead of one painting, remember? What if you will act the in same way with the chains? Just give chains model instead of one painting (or maybe few of them, so the different size of the painting will give us an opportunity to hang chains of different length and quantity).
And now, unfortunately, "some tar into the honey barrel".
Cobblestone. It's too dark. I mean, it's literary very black. It should be grayer, closer to the color of the stone brick, because now even these two blocks became to look rather alien near each other. And it catastrophically lacks the moss, which your previous cobble model contained. Also one thing about the moss cobblestone. Blood should contain little more brown-red colors, because it looks more like a tar than a blood.
Sandstone. I like the texture, but please, give it a mustard color. Because it is not good when there is so much gray. Besides, your previous chiseled sandstone had a fantastic fresco - a pyramid in the circle, or something like that. Why did you remove this? Please bring it back. That was great. As to the common sandstone, now it has a horizontal frame which is good, but why only horizontal? Please give it a vertical one too, thus it will have have finished "brick stone" texture.
Few minor things. Glass. The density of the wood here is too high. It looks more like a window now. Well, it is good when you are going to make just a window for a small house, but what if you want to make... for example A huge stained-glass windows or portal-like window for a cathedral? They do not contain so much wood and look more gracefully. Your previous model was more universal in this concrete respect.
Enchanting table. That wooden part makes it look cheaper. It needs something other.
Furnace/dispenser/dropper - their left, right and back sides have stone texture, which absolutely does not fit to such kind of mechanisms.
Some bugs.
Right side of wooden ladders (of all 4 types) is bugged - planks mismatch each other.
Not sure if it's a bug or only I have this, but the clock day-night sector is pink and compass doesn't have an arrow (no matter where, 256x or 64x). To prevent your question - yes, I'm using the latest MCPatcher.
And one more thing. Textures in this version require much more resources or what? Because in your previous versions, including 1.4.7 I was able to run 256x. Now I cant even launch 256x - everything is white. And even in 64x I have white spiders, white quad instead of the moon and those emo-problem with the clock. Any ideas?
Please do not consider my remarks as a blatant criticism. Of course that's just my not-that-humble opinion, but I really root for this pack and test it dozens of times in order to see what will fit the most here.
