you need to edit the terraine.png to do that.

? for pickaxes? they arent terrain... pickaxes are an item and yes i can try to fix the texture pack for you but it will resetall of your items to default including bows fishing poles clocks etc

I highly recommend getting MTE though, ive made A LOT of changes to things i dont like in some texture packs.

And you edit the items.png in the gui folder.
I'll take a stab at it for you.
