The grass top has to be greyscaled because it gets an extra green tint within the code, since grass has a different color in different biomes.
This is because the texture to the left of wooden planks is now obsolete. You can just give it the same texture as dirt, because the side grass is now located beneath the Iron block and is greyscaled as well.
Make sure the top grass is greyscaled and the side grass (beneath the Iron block) is greyscaled and are both using similar colors.
Actually , the sidegrass texture located to the left of planks is displayed on Fast graphics, while the biome-tinted sidegrass is overlayed on that texture when Fancy graphics are enabled. Make sure the Fast sidegrass is pretty close to a decent green tint you get from the biome files, or else it'll look really ugly.

Its the exact same color :/

Thanks so much. also what does greyscaled mean?

You don't have to paint it with new colors yourself, certain programs have a greyscale option built into them.
i have piant.net if i use the black and white option will that be greyscaling?
Pretty much, yes.
The game takes the texture and adds a green tint to it.
In theory you don't have to really greyscale it, but then the grass will look kind of dark.
ok cool ty
