Hey cferrill1, Clintonxa said he will update MOAPI tomorrow Jan. 1. I've been waiting a very long time to use your minecraft enhanced mod. I was never able to use it due to incompatibilities, but nowadays mods don't conflict each other like they used to
Oh good I've been holding out for him to update hoping he would, I have to re-write most of the mod now as a lot of the rendering code has changed, but I have a couple new features I've been working on for the new version, one being the "high res" Main menu background, which is super awesome.
Sorry I haven't been active much I've been working on a new side project, and it's been the holidays so I've been busy with family.
The Side project is awesome, I'm really excited about it, but I can't talk about it yet. We'll see if it goes anywhere.
love this texture pack! tried it expecting my computer to die and my whole minecraft to be corrupter, but it ran fine at around 25-30 fps with optifine and game booster - any plans for a 64x64 release? that would be lovely :smile.gif:
This is the best texture pack but my computer just can't handle the 128x128 graphics. A 64x64 would be amazing.
I've been trying out the 128x pack and I really love the block textures.
I don't really like the transparency for the inventory/chests screens though, and some of the items (mainly tools) could look better, but that's just my opinion.
I would love to be able to combine your block textures with another pack's items/screens that are closer to original, kind of like the faithful pack.
Also the text seems to be off for me, but that might be because I'm using Optifine instead of MCPatcher.
Anyways, that's just my opinion, and I can't get over how beautiful the blocks are.
Hi there cferril, love you work with MCEnchanced, and have used it for a long time - with some local variations :smile.gif:
Have you considered adding some interesting new specifics made available for tex-packs with the recent MCPatcher?
Like biome-specific colours, and
"More customization options in 2.3.1. Biome-specific sky, fog, and underwater colors. Custom animations can now be placed in the anim/ folder rather than the root of the texture pack. Animations can also have an accompanying .properties file to specify animation speed."
It would be very neat to see biome-area variations in colours and sky and so forth.
Keep up the great work anyways.
/PReP
I don't feel like the custom colors fit the feel of original Minecraft the same way the current tools don't so I won't be adding these, I never touched the original biome color for the same reason it's just changes the feel of the game way too much.
I love pretty much everything about this pack but one thing; the glass texture fades at a distance. I like to be able to see the glass on far away buildings, not just empty space. Even at a moderate range it is invisible.
Other than that, it's awesome. The sun and moon are well done, and the world is vibrant but not cartoonish.
God i've been trying to find a good 128x128 default pack, i have to say this is pretty damn good, the only things i cant stand is that the ores look to realistic, and the pack is a tad bit to smooth, but nice pack man thats just my point of view
Could you add support for Optifine's new connected textures?
Not necessary, but would be greatly appreciated: could you add support for the Twilight Forest mod?
EDIT: I don't think the Twilight Forest would be too hard. It only adds a few new blocks and items. I'd do it myself had I the ability or skill.
Hi again! Still loving the textures, but I happen to be using a lot of mods...One in particular is Ian5133's Decoratives Mod. I looked at the texture files and noticed that they were close enough to your originals to get in a few copy-paste maneuvers. After a few days work, though it's unfinished and could use a pro's touch, here's my stand in:
Again, I did little actual texture making. All textures were used from this pack ((-2 that I grabbed elsewhere for the pure glass, which I forgot to showcase, and the fire pits))
To install to your pack::
((works best with 7zip))
Unzip the download anywhere (works best on your desktop for easy access).
Open the Minecraft enhanced texture pack zip file. (don't unzip if you don't have to)
Drag the folder into the main page of the texture pack (re-zip the folder if you had to unzip)
Open minecraft and enjoy!
I have a question: Have Enderman not been implemented yet? For some reason, I didn't have a texture for it and a few other mobs. I've since grabbed some from other texture packs, ((which, oddly, seemed unbelievably similar to LB's Photo Realism pack...<.<))
